Chapter 2

 I couldn't stop pacing. I had no idea what to do, or what that thing was. It was obvious I will be seeing it again but the question is what does it want?

I shuddered at the thought of that things power. It could've been Satan himself with that power, but what business would he have with my affairs. It doesn't make sense.

I need to visit the council. I need advice because I have no idea how to handle this situation. I pointed my finger up and shot a beam of light into the air. It was only visible to the council since its the signature way to contact them.

I waited another minute and was just about to call it off, when light struck down and created a white portal thing. I took a step in and looked back at Lana. I hope nothing happens to her in the time I'm gone, but what could happen? She's at home sleeping peacefully. Safe. With that I went all the way through.

Walking up the white path I made it to an array of seats placed in a semi circle around. There was five of them.

"State your name and rank." The voice boomed. I gulped.

"Deliah sir, and I'm a guardian angel."

"What is your reason for coming here?"

I took a deep breath, "Last night while I'll was looking after my charge I felt this...massive power. It wasn't good either, I could feel the darkness in it. The shear force of the power was almost pushing me back." I hope they take me seriously because I have no idea what to do.

"Was the thing after your charge?"

"I have no idea...I cant fathom of what they want with her." She's done nothing wrong in life.

"Did you perhaps catch a glimpse of this power?" I couldn't get those red eyes out of my head. They haunted me all night. Darkness clouded my thoughts as the darkness influenced me, but of course it was only a mere wisp of it left surrounding me.

"Red eyes." They all gasped in horror...am I missing something here?

"What does that mean?! You guys know the identity of this powerful creature, tell me! What is it?" If its after my baby girl Lana I will go on a rampage. I would die for that girl.

"We can not say for it will frighten you. Deliah you must watch your back. If he has taken in interest in either you or your charge, you must be ready to run. This is something you can not just go up to and fight. He is someone to be feared of. Watch out for his children of the night though. You most likely be seeing them around everywhere. They are his eyes, I don't know why last night he specifically showed himself to you but he did. Did he perhaps say anything to you?"

I winced still remembering the feeling of his words against my skin. He said...he said, until next time." This was getting all to real.

Some of the council members looked about to piss themselves. I was truly terrified by now. "Deliah head back now. Heed are warnings this isn't something that can be taken lightly."

"But but...wait!"

"No enough of discussion you need to go back now, something's happening at the moment."

I shook my head. I didn't feel anything.

"You must go now! You can't sense it from here because of where we are, but we can feel it. Go!"

With that I was shoved back down the path and the entrance slammed shut. Back in Lana's room I looked for the so called danger. Glancing at Lana she looked dead to the world. Exhausted from the club probably. There was nothing here that I sensed was dangerous.. If it was here its gone now.

Lana's pov (When Deliah was gone)

I wasn't dreaming anything at all but somehow in my mind it was pitch black. I heard screams of pain and terror. "Stop! Stop! Stop it!" The sound only increased. I felt like I was there, like I was really there in that dark place. Strong forces of freezing wind swept over me.

Embrace the hatred...

"No! Go away!"

Let go the envy...

"Get out of my head now!" The owners of the screams become very clear. Lost souls crept up from under me and grabbed at my feet. Pulling me down into an unknown abyss.

The next step...is to inflict pain...

A dagger appeared in my hand. It glowed with an eerie blood red color, with a ruby in the handle. Its beauty amazed me, until I felt breath on my neck. I was too paralyzed to move.

You must use this too...

I dropped it in haste. It disappearing amiss the cloud of lost souls. "I said leave me alone!" I ran as fast I could. Evil laughter resounded and boomed within this nightmare.

Wait and see little one, this isn't over. You will understand your purpose in the near future.

The souls were whispering. Saying the same exact phrase.

Embrace it. Embrace it! EMBRACE IT!

I continued sprinting as fast as I could. There echoed screams not fading one bit.

....

I lept up with breathless gasps. All I thought was what was that, before I passed out with exhaustion.

Deliah's pov

I couldn't sleep. I was still to wired for battle. For the past hour I could feel eyes watching me but at a really far distance. There can uncanny attention is started to get under my skin. My senses were tingling, like the after effect of drinking red bull.

Tomorrow is going to be interesting.
