I didn't meet her for almost two weeks. And I don't know why I was feeling restless. I wanted to meet her, I wanted to talk to her, and I wanted to spend time with her. I couldn't understand why it was happening to me.
I could not concentrate on my work. Whether I study or play, I just couldn't do it with my full concentration. Every time I slept, I dreamt about her.
I dreamt about our first meeting and then the second.
Her hairband and her nose were the most disturbing things. Her hairband kept me busy thinking about her pretty face and her nose about the cuteness of her! I never thought that our dreadful and frustrating meeting would be so effective.
Even though I knew where she lived, I preferred not to go. I wanted to meet her once again and was finding a way to do it.
And to my bad, her school left five minutes early than mine. And minimum five minutes were needed to reach her school by me. In these ten minutes, she used to catch her bus and go.
I was now very much upset and was thinking about a solution. I kept thinking for almost an hour and realized that if I find Suraj, I find Shruti. I started searching for Suraj in my school. I didn't know anything about Suraj. I had never seen him. It was a difficult task to find one student in a school of more than 2000 students.
I had only 20 minutes of recess in doing this task. I searched for Suraj for a week and finally found him.
Suraj was a 9-year-old kid. He was cute as his sister. He had a perfect height and weight that a nine-year-old kid should have but he had worn a loose school uniform. He looked cuter in a loose uniform.
I asked him," Is Shruti Kulkarni your sister?"
He replied, "Yes, she is."
"Does she have a mobile phone?" I asked.
No came the reply and I was upset once more. The little kid didn't have much information about his sister. I asked him about her relationship but he didn't even know what that was. The bell rang for the class to start and he ran towards his classroom.
Even I returned to my classroom and was really disappointed. My whole week's effort was of no use. Aditya noticed me and asked," What's the matter, brother?"
I thought he would help me in this. I told him everything and told him that he had to help me. He said after a minute, "There is a way you can talk to her."
I immediately asked, "What is the way brother?"
He replied, "Social media, you have to find her on social media".
"That's a great idea brother", I said.
We began to search her on the social media. There were forty-eight results for Shruti Kulkarni on Facebook. We checked all of them and found that the Shruti Kulkarni we were searching for didn't exist on Facebook.
We tried many other social media sites to find her but we were unsuccessful.
We were now very much disappointed and had lost hopes when Aditya screamed, "Idea!".
I immediately replied," What's the idea".
He said to me," Tomorrow don't attend school and wait for her outside her school".
I replied with a smile on my face, "Superb! Idea brother"
I told my Mom that I was feeling little uneasy and would not go to school. She agreed but started keeping a look on my health. I was going Shruti's school half an hour early so that there were no chances of failure this time.
But my Mom didn't allow me and advised me to rest. When my Mom was busy in the kitchen, I took the opportunity and ran to go to Shruti's school. Luckily I reached her school ten minutes early.
I waited for a while and then all children started running out of the school. I kept my eye on each and every girl who came out. At last after two weeks, two days, twelve hours and thirty-six minutes later, I saw the cute face again.
She looked cuter today. I waved my hand and gave a sign to come towards me. After some casual talk, I asked her," Are you free tomorrow?"
She replied," No, I have school in the morning and classes in the evening".
I said," Are you free on Sunday?"
She replied," Yes....but why?"
I said," Let's go somewhere, what do you think?"
She replied," Nice, but I have to ask my parents first and I am sure they won't say No"
I asked, "Do you have a phone number?"
"No, I don't have a mobile phone but you can call me on this number, please note".
I removed my mobile phone and saved her number on my device.
She said," It's my father's phone but I use it at night".
We agreed to meet near her school on Sunday. I came home, told everything to Aditya and asked him to make a good plan for Sunday. I picked her pen and started thinking about Sunday. After fifteen minutes, I kissed the pen and was off to bed.
