Chapter 6. interrogation

As I opened the door I heard my mum shout "Oi. Is that you Marcy?"

"No! Its the queen of England!" I replied sarcastically making my mother laugh

I continued up the stairs to my room closing the door behind me. As soon as you could say 'come on' my brother came in with an face I could only describe as either frustrated or constipated. I assumed it was the first one and looked at him with a confused expression.

"Where were you? I know you weren't really at Heathers place. I asked her when I saw her yesterday." He said angrily.

"Don't tell mom! Please, I'll do anything." I pleaded, mercy clear in my voice.

"Only if you tell me where you were." He said sternly

Not wanting to lie and have the possibility of getting caught I simply answered with blank face "I was in the forest."

He looked surprised yet confused. "Why the hell would you be in the forest?" He said

"I can't really explain why. Maybe I can show you in the future?" I said as if questioning the possibility.

"As long as you show me sooner or later." He said before leaving my room.

I sighed and fell onto my carpet. "School tomorrow. At least I'll get to see Heather. The only good thing about that hell hole people refer to as 'school'." I thought out loud, adding emphasis on school. I then fell asleep without even thinking about it

A/n the story isn't over °•°

When I woke up I was lying on my carpet. After standing up and walking over to my dresser and closet, I had my clothes for the day. I looked at my alarm clock on my night stand to check if I had time to take a shower. It was 6:43 and I had to get on my bus by 8:00. Normally I take a ten minutes shower and about five minutes to walk to my bus stop. That meant if I was quick I'd have at least half an hour or so to spare.

After my shower I dried off, put on my clothes, and brushed my teeth then my hair. Once I thought I looked nice enough I smiled at myself in the mirror and walked out.

After walking downstairs I placed my book bag near my front door.

"Would you like some breakfast Marcy?" My mother asked me from my kitchen.

"No thank you. I think I might head out to McDonalds and meet with Heather before going to the bus. I have like 40 minutes to be there if I head out now." I said to my mother.

"Alright. At least be safe." My mum said.

I grabbed my bag, opened the front door after telling my mother I love her, and began walking towards the McDonalds after closing the door behind me.

I pulled my phone out after about a minute of walking and texted Heather if she wanted to need up with me. She texted back saying she'll be there in a few.

Once I put my phone back in my pocket I felt a hand on my shoulder. Out of instinct I turned and slapped the figure before realising it was Toby. I sighed out of relief. He was wearing his face gear again.

"Oooow. What the fuck?" Toby whined jokingly making me smile.

"Sorry, its just my instincts. Don't sneak up on me like that. Its not like you could feel it ya big faker." I said starting to walk again.

"So. W-where are you going this early in the morning?" Toby asked curiously.

"I'm going to meet a friend of mine at McDonalds." I said making his eyes go wide.

"Can you please. Please. PLEASE! get me some McNuggets. Please?" He pleaded with puppy dog eyes.

"OK. Meet me here in a few." I said.

"YES!" He exclaimed in victory.

"I guess ill s-see you later then." He said before walking off into the opposite direction.

I walked about another minute to the McDonalds and saw Heather already sitting there inside, undoubtedly waiting for me.

Once inside I walked up to the counter to order, and heather walked up next to me.

"Its gonna have to be to go. Sorry I was late Heather." I said in an apologetic fashion.

"Its fine. What're you getting?" Heather asked me.

I replied with "chicken nuggets. A twenty piece." Making Heather nod her head and say "wow, that's a lot. I'll go order."

After we had our food I gave Heather a ten dollar bill. She insisted she didn't want my money but I coerced her into taking it. Heather had to go back to her home to get something.

"Meet me at the bus stop." She said before walking to get whatever it was she needed.

On my way back to the bus Toby came up from behind me again. This time not scaring me as much as the last.

"Oh hey Toby!" I said. He waved his hand.

"I got your nuggs." I exclaimed handing him the fast food delicacy.

"Aww yeah, thanks M-Marcelline!" He exclaimed loudly. I chuckled at his childish behaviour.

We walked in silence until the bus stop came into view.

"Bye Toby. See ya later." I said before walking to said bus stop. Heather was already there. Leaning against a light post.

As soon as I got to the stop my school bus showed up.
