**Alex's point of view*
I hated watching her leave. I wanted to go with her to ensure she was safe. If anything happened to her i would blame myself. I could read her mind the moment i stepped in from the portal. the way she was thinking bout me, truth is I liked her too, I just didnt wanna show her I had emotions, girls from where we come from dont like that kind of thing. Snap out of it Alex lets get a move on.....
I crept down the stairs quietly ensuring to listen ahead in cause of someone waiting. Was Brandi telling the truth what if some of the seekers really had survived the war? would i have to kill them? No Id report it but not until I unsured that Brandi was safe from the monsters.
Ny grim powers kicked in as I turned the final corner where I could feel their souls sitting. I saw the girl first, her hair was beautiful and matched her face perfectly. Then I saw him....he was familiar...those facial features. He noticed my presence right away. The girl looked to but it was obvious she couldnt see me like he could. I looked straight at him implying we needed to talk, he spoke to her before he rose, "Ill be back in a few minutes Elena, stay here"
He began to walk past me , so I followed him back up stairs when we entered the room furthest down the hall he shut the door behind us. " what do you want?" he asked hand on his belt loop where I saw his knife sitting. "who are you?" I asked. "You dont remember me? Im the one you couldnt kill in the claims war. Its nice to meet u again" he said laughing to himself.
I stared at him in shock the soldier I met in the castle that night. the night Brandi had killed their queen. we fought for hours to no end but when the horns of war sounded and the battle was over I never had the chance to finish him. I could still hear the crys of the soul seekers as the queen was murdered in front of their eyes. 'She will live again' I could still hear them, their promises cryed into the night.
"so Elena is your queen im guessing?"
"Yes why do you care?"
"Cause if Brandi finds out the past she'll try to kill her again" I said with an angery look on my face.
" I dont see how thats my problem? she tries, I kill her and we can both stop worrying" hunter replyed with a smirk
"You lay a finger on her and I swear I will finish you just like I should have last time""
"You can try but just remember since the war Ive been able to rebuild our entire seeker army. our people have relocated to somewhere you nor the angels will ever think of looking. When the half blood moon rises next week and Elena remembers who she was there will be no stopping us."
"No matter where you hide, who you have protecting you, we will find you and we will kill you."
