It had been three months now, three months since he began his life as a freshman in highschool. He had worked out a lot and lost a lot of weight hoping that his new look would scare off his bullies; however, it only made the bullying worse.
They began challenging him to fights, jumping him when they saw him on the street. But he never fought back, he just cowered, remembering how the same thing had been happening for three years now. Yet, he never tried to fight back, he never tried to stand up to them.
He just sat there waiting for the teachers to stop them. But this day, it was different. It was like something had snapped inside him, he got up. He pushed them away and started talking "How dare you!! Everyday for three years!! Nothing but picking on me, leave me alone already!! I'm sick and tired of-" he gets cut off by an unknown voice yelling, "Leave him alone!! Somebody, help!!!"
They all look around wondering who said it. Until the most beautiful girl in school, Taylor Christine, walked right up to them and said "How dare you pick on him!?!? He did nothing wrong! He's just trying to go on with his life!!"
"We're trying to impress you," the big ugly one yelled. She replied with "What kind of person is impressed by somebody bullying somebody, have you not noticed his wrists? Have you not noticed how he's constantly talking about wanting to kill himself," she asked.
"You may not take him seriously but I sure as hell do! People like you make me sick, you disgust me. You are nothing but vermin unfit to even be a stain on the ground you stand upon," at this they all took a step back with a look of horror on their faces.
"Why?" The boy asks, "Why would you go to such lengths to help someone like me?" She replies by saying "Because I once lost someone very dear to me due to bullying. I never want that to happen again," at this point he thought to himself.
Is there actually somebody that cares about me for once? No this is different. she must be a goddess, nothing else could explain it. She is a goddess descended to help me.
Almost as if reading his mind she says "I'm no goddess, but I am here to help you, no matter what may be happening." At this point the bullies had gotten bored and walked off, leaving only Taylor and the boy.
She helps him up asking "What's your name?", "My name is-" he's cut off by the bullies speeding towards them in their car. "Watch out," he shouts as he pushes her out of the way. The car slams into him as he lets out an earsplitting shriek.
Within ten minutes the bullies are in cuffs and the boy is being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. "Will he be alright?" Taylor asks? "We don't know," the paramedic replies "let's just hope for the best."
