The next day, as Gael and Taylor walk to school, a man that Taylor has never met before stops then and begins talking to Gael offering to teach him to fight so he can protect his girlfriend.
Gael accepts his offer saying, "I'll see you tonight." As they start walking again Taylor asks, "What did you mean when you said I'll see you tonight?" Gael looks at her and laughs, "I forgot you haven't met my parents have you? That was my father."
As he finishes Taylor looks at him with a look of confusion. "But you two look nothing alike." Gael responds saying, "He's my step dad, so its not that surprising that we don't look alike," he looks down and continues, "My real dad died in a car crash a few years ago."
Taylor sees tears beginning to well up and she quickly apologizes for bringing it up, she then gives him a hug while he cries. He soon stops and they continue walking, but Taylor can't stop looking down. Gael asks her what's wrong and she said, "I'm really sorry for bringing it up... it must have been painful remembering that..."
Gael responds by saying, "Its fine. You didn't know, I should have told you sooner." They get to school and see a car crash, they walk into school and find out it was their homeroom teacher, Mrs. Falaber.
Neither of them are very fond of her so they don't really care, but Gael gets a call and sprints out of school, he later gets a call from Taylor and she asks him where he went. "I'm at the hospital, somebody very dear to me is really sick and might not make it to tomorrow..."
