You peeked around the corner to make sure no one was around. The box in your hands let out a few tiny meows.
"Shush!" You hushed the tiny animals. Quickly, you darted into the hallway. Making your way into your room, you sat the box down on your bed and closed the door. You took each of the six kittens out of the box, carefully. The wobbled as they wandered around your room.
"You little guys stay here while I go get you some food, okay?" They meowed in response. You smiled and made your way into the kitchen. Roxas and Xion sat there eating ice cream out of the carton.
"Hey, guys!" You tried to say non-suspiciously.
"Hey." They replied going back to their treat. Browsing the fridge, you pulled out a bag of leftover hamburgers. With the bag in hand, you returned to your room.
"Where did these little guys come from." You heard an all to familiar voice ask. You quickly shut the door and turned to face the redhead.
"Axel?!" You squeaked. "What are you doing in here?" He put down the kitten he was holding and made his way over to you.
"I was looking for you. So, naturally, the first place I looked was your room, but instead of finding you I found six tiny mewling animals." He gave you questioning glance in that annoyingly sexy manner that he does everything.
"They were just sitting on the street. I couldn't not help them!" He gave you another look that said you-know-the-rule-about-no-animals-in-the-castle-let-alone-six-animals. "Axel, please, please, please don't tell Saix. I promise they'll only be here for a few weeks-"
"A few weeks!" He exclaimed.
"They aren't old enough to be away from their mother yet. And before you say anything, no I'm not their mother but I do know how to take care of them. The moment they are old enough I'll give them to caring homes." He sighed and hid his face in his hands.
"Axel, please." You begged. He looked at you from between his fingers. Finally, seeming to come to a decision, he sighed again and removed his hand.
"I guess I have no choice but to help you." He grinned. You squealed, which alarmed the kittens and threw your arms around him.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" You kissed his cheek causing him to turn a scarlet shade of red.
~A Couple Of Days Later~
"I got the stuff," Axel said as he closed your bedroom door. You got up and took the gray box from him.
"Thank you, Axel." You set it up in the corner as he poured litter into the box.
~Outside The Door~
"Why do you think he's avoiding us?" Roxas asked as they tailed Axel through the corridors of the hall. He was carrying a strange bag and he stopped outside your door. After a quick knock, he went inside.
"Maybe (Y/n)'s involved." Xion speculated. They looked at each other and gasped.
"Maybe they're dating!"
"He did say she was cute that one time!"
"He does seem to be distracted at the clock tower nowadays!"
"What do you think was in the bag?" They both blushed.
"Perhaps we shouldn't think about that." They nodded to each other and left the hallway.
~In Your Room~
"Axel!" You cried.
"What? What's wrong?" He scurried over to you and checked you for any injuries.
