Day 1: I want you to buy a journal and start writing down every day what you are thankful for. Write about 5-10 things a day. It could be very simple like your neighbor smiled at you or said hello. I want you to take a pen and write on the pen the word "blessings" with a permanent marker. Put this pen in your purse or pocket as a reminder that you are holding your blessings and that really your blessings are (and always have been) in your hands(if you are ready to receive them).

You alone are enough. You have nothing to prove to anybody.”

-Maya Angelou

Many people, especially ignorant people, want to punish you for speaking the truth, for being correct, for being you. Never apologize for being correct or for being years ahead of your time. If you’re right and you know it,speak your mind. Even if you are a minority of one,the truth is still the truth.-Gandhi

“Your purpose in life is to find your purpose and give your whole heart and soul to it”  -Gautama Buddha

Authors note: I have come to understand that your purpose in life is all about what you are passionate about. Find your passion  and take some action steps toward that goal.

The first step is always the hardest, isn't it? Please comment on how you took a first step so we can all learn from each other. You might inspire someone who reads your comment and make the biggest difference in their life.  About ten years ago I lost a pregnancy and the loss brought me to one of the lowest points in my life. I wanted to get pregnant again but the fear of it happening again crippled me. Shortly after that, my niece was diagnosed with a brain tumor that needed to be removed. I remember sitting in the waiting area while she was getting operated on and I felt so helpless. It was not in our hands, only in God's hands. She  made it through the operation and the tumor was not a cancerous one, thank God.  I felt strength in her healing and I got the courage to try for another baby. Exactly nine months later, a beautiful baby girl was born that brought out a love in me that I never knew existed. I feel blessed beyond measure. Please share your story of taking a first step.
