"Holy shit. We did this?" Emily asked, staring at the cafeteria, a shocked expression on her face.
"I guess so," I replied grabbing a broom next to me.
I start sweeping food off the floor.
"Wait okay, so how did this all happen?" Emily asked.
I explained everything, almost everything, from beginning to end about how I bumped into Weston and tripped on my face.
"Wait. So you just, bumped into the golden boy of the school."
Technically I did just bump into him. I was spinning around singing a Highschool Musical song and then bumped into him.
I left that out, though, I had embarrassed myself enough today.
If I would've told her, she would've teased me forever.
"Basically."
"What a fucking ass."
"Pft. Populars are always asses."
"You're right," Em laughed.
We continued cleaning the crusty meat off the tables and buns on the floor.
My day was going swell.

Emily tried to convince me to let her stay and help me clean up the rest, but I persuaded her to leave first, stating that she wouldn't want her clothes to get messier but she still tried to fight me. In the end she went home early thinking about her mom.
Her mom was in the hospital for leukemia. It was serious. Mrs. Woods has always been in and out of the hospital ever since last year. Emily always went to the hospital after school. She's gone so much that the nurses and doctors there know her name. For as long as I've knows Mrs. Woods, she's been absolutely wonderful. Every time I went to Emily's house, she'd bake these fucking delicious cookies that people would die for. Emily's dad ran away when she was 4 and she still doesn't know where he is to this day.
I occasionally come visit Mrs. Woods and her face always lightens up and it makes me smile. She has lighter brown eyes compared to Emily's but they're still beautiful.
I worry for Mrs. Woods, a lot.
Please be well.
-----After what seemed like hours, I had finally finished cleaning.
I stared at the room. This was probably the cleanest the cafeteria's ever been. I've had cleaning experience of being on bathroom duty at the cafe.
I looked at the clock.
3:15
My shift at the cafe started at 4 to 5:30 and my shift for the restaurant started at 6 to 7.
Gotta start putting shit away now. Great.
I rolled my eyes.
"Knock knock"
I looked over and saw the devil himself.
