A/N - This is my first Noragomi fanfic! Read and Review!

Mitsu let out a yawn, glancing up at the starry Tokyo sky. She noted that the moon was out, bright and glowing, like a lightbulb in the night. The sky was an assortment of dark colors, ranging from various jet blacks and shady blues. The last rays of sunlight had long since vanished, the streets deserted and submerged in shadows.

She continued to stroll down the streets, pulling on her deep blue sweater to avoid the cold. She paused at a lamp post and stared down the road. It was calming, Mitsu thought, Tokyo at night. There were no angry, blaring cars. No crowds of frustrated pedestrians. Just the wind and the sky and the empty street.

Mitsu wrapped her arms around the post and effortlessly pulled herself up until she had reached the top. Letting out a breath of air, she stood up, balancing on the balls of her heels with ease.

Mitsu admitted that the view was much better from atop the post and acknowledged that her ...ability.. to jump to and from her body was rather useful. Especially for balancing on lamps and street lights. She had left her corporeal body slumbering in her room not two hours ago, her not-parents unaware of her disappearance.

Mitsu stared at the sky until her eyes were weary and her body heavy from lack of sleep. Reluctantly, she tore her gaze away from the glorious scenic view, away from the sky and the moon and mountains in the distance. She slid down the pole and landed on her feet with a huff. Her breath made puffy clouds in the air.

Her feet moved on their own accord, leading her back towards her not-home, a large estate several blocks away.

Up ahead, the shuffling of feet disturbed the calm. Mistu turned her attention up, past the stores and shops and to the edge of the street where the noise had come from.

A boy was walking towards her. Well, a boy was walking past her. As he came closer and closer, Mitsu could see he had shaggy dark hair- she couldn't tell what color- and was wearing a jersey. Several feet away, he stopped moving and stared at her. He had a scarf around his neck and was holding flyers.

Mistu should have kept walking. She should have walked straight past him and erased him and his weird clothes and his sickly sweet smell from her memory. But she didn't.

Instead, she took several slow steps towards him. The boy didn't flinch. He stared straight ahead. Mistu thought he looked lost.

"Excuse me?"

The boys eyes flickered--a sign of life?-but he didn't budge.

Louder now. "Excuse me?!"

His head snapped up, as if he'd been electrified, and the cloudiness from his face cleared. His eyes magnetized to hers, eccentric blue matching her brown. His mouth opened and closed, he shifted towards her, his eyes still locked on hers. He leaned in, his voice rough and heavy with something--, and drawled:

"You look just like her."

And then he was rushing down the pavement with a sudden energy, leaving Mitsu shocked and curious and tingling with almost-excitement. She felt herself wanting to follow him and his aura that seemed to invite adventure. But she resisted the urge because she was tired and unprepared and it was stupid to follow strangers at two in the morning. Instead, she let her feet carry her once more to her not-home.

Hours after her return she lay in bed, wondering why anyone besides herself would be up wandering the lonely streets of Tokyo in the middle of the night.
