The sky and the stars will be my witness

Against your crimes

The boy who lost his father on your blue and white hand will be my ally

The olive trees plucked like weeds

Will remind me of my roots

The mother who lost her children

Fighting this war for their land

She will be my motivation

To rid this land of your disease

1917

The Balfour Declaration

They gave the land they didn’t own to the people who didn’t deserve

That’s when everything started to spiral out of control

Massacres in thousands

Refugees in millions

Dead heroes like Racheal Corry

The young vivacious human rights activist

Who stood her ground when that tank ran her over

Who gave anyone the right to take her life?

Do you not remember Mohammed Durra

The 10 year old crouching behind his father

The father who wanted to protect his son

The 10 year old never aged another day

Ending up repeatedly shot until his last breath

Or Iman Hijo

The 4 month old baby

Who was shot with rocket that came in her stomach and out her back

Her mother can never see her child as a bride someday

The assassined activists

Like Yasser Arafat Ahmed Yassin and the Rantisi

The Houses that were demolished or taken away

On my visit to Haifa I saw my grandpa’s house used as a sight

They were going to bulldoze it down it was one of 2 still standing

In clear letters on the front door said his name

How can all these atrocities be happening?

In the end who is to blame?

While the undeserving scum can be to blame for the problems they are not alone

I blame the ones who stayed silent when words were needed

I blame the people that walked away when the Palestinians pleaded

I blame the surrounding countries that are now begging for help

Where were you when Palestine needed your Help?

My Palestinian flag consists of 4 colors

Red for the blood Palestinians shed

Black is for the mourning over the families that are dead

Green is for the land of Palestine

And white is for the peace they used to have

66 years of occupation

And no one is stopping what’s going on

66 years is way too long and

No one is righting this wrong
