The most defense type in the game they can tend to be walls or sweepers. They get access to the move stealth rocks and iron defense. Some of the best steel types are skarmory, aggron, steelix, klinklang, klefki, Mawile and togedemaru. Now let's talk about them!

Skarmory the tanky flying bird that is really good in battle. It has a 140 base defense and decent hp making it tank close combats from mega gallade! It is mostly used for setting up stealth rocks and whirlwind to get opponents out. It also gets roost so it can stall out opponents. I recommend running stealth rocks, whirlwind, roost and brave bird. From my experience with this Pokemon it's one of the best set up Pokemon. My final words are make sure you have a fire type

Aggron is a ridiculous Pokemon it has a 180 base defense! Just like skarmory it get stealth rocks and can set up but I use aggron as a sweeper. It gets all types of coverage like Aqua tail, head smash, shadow claw and even solar beam. It can be used on the physical and special side so it's unpredictable. I recommend running head smash, automize, earthquake and heavy slam. From my experience it's good but a fighting type move can knock it out easily. My final words are don't let it set up!
