Most stories you might say start at the beginning, this always results in the structure of start and finish. however had we have started this story on a happy bright day when a young girl woke up from her luscious bed covers thinking about what she might do....would you be bored?

No this story starts at the near end of our journey in a field of perfect wheat.

The wind swept over my hair as though it was silk, jay was standing in the middle of the field of wheat looking down at the hard dirt ground like a lifeless mahican. The days of hiding were over now. I ran through the distracting crops to the centre of this wild dream. I slowly brought my hand down. Time seemed to stop- the wind had fallen around us and the countless rows of wheat stood frozen still .

I put my hand on his shoulder hoping to bring some light on his sad eyes before he did something he would regret, the reaction was quite the opposite. His eyes had turned to mine in a frantic state. Then a sound filled the field; it got louder the longer we stared at each other. It was hissing, suspenseful hissing coming from below us. The wheat had all turned to snakes, snakes stuck into the ground but perfectly flexible. Had I done something wrong! Jay could control this dream so why did he sentence me to death, never the less by snakes! Was I not still his faithful friend, protecting guardian. The confusion filled my heart with an oppressive weight, the thoughts might have overcrowded my mind, had I not been latched onto by the fangs of a venomous snake that very moment.

The photo looked untouched, unnoticed. It brought me sadness to see a memory like this so forgotten. I brushed the dust of its surface to reveal a picture of my soon-to-be moved out house.

" thats a keeper, for sure." Melony always seemed to be optimistic in situations like this. I didn't reply. I just stood with the box in my hands. Funny how my old life is being let go and my only friend is a shabby old box.

" we could always come down and visit....its a short move but your going to Scouts though, isn't that what you wanted." She constantly repeated what grandma had already told me. That reminded me, grandma.

I walked upstairs and grandma was sitting in her back chair.

" oh, darling..its you." Grandma sighed in worry

" had another odd-less dream last night. Its getting harder to hide from her" she laid back

" your coming of age: The DELOOMS might grant you" I hoped they wouldn't look past her. She was the only one close to me that was remotely Oddloom.

" Now you listen Amber, the DELOOM are a council of business. If you can go into peoples dreams you can go to court." She had a seriousness in her eyes, one that you wouldn't try to ignore. The bell rang downstairs, It was a signal from Melony 'time to go' it said.

" goodbye grandma, I'll stay hidden. I promise." I waved goodbye. But I hid something inside: a regret. When I was in my last odd-less dream, I didn't stay hidden.
