After loading up our belongings and putting everything besides a few suitcases of clothing in storage we were on our way to find out where we would be staying temporarily. From what my mom said this would only be a two week thing and then T would be moving us into a Townhome or something. Realizing the direction we were heading in I had already had an idea of where we were going. This was the shadiest area of town. It's where all the prostitutes, drug dealers, and crazy ass crack heads reside. While I was never sheltered from this type of life I was never forced to live in the shit.
As a kid my momma hustled to make sure we always had the best: from our houses to clothes and shoes. But six years ago when she met T she begin to settle for less. And while we still always had the freshest shit to wear our bills were always being paid late and we were constantly on the move.
But this, this was the lowest of all lows I thought to myself as we pulled into a motel parking lot where crack heads and drug dealers stood around. Loud music blasted throughout the parking lot as the local hood rats in skimpy ass clothes twerked and ratchetly yelled trying to catch the attention of which ever nigga they felt was moving the most weight
"Alright I know this ain't what y'all used to but like I said it's temporary. Taylor you and tianna gone have y'all own motel room and the boys gone stay in me and T's room. Don't be opening the door for muthafuckas and keep that door locked these muthafuckas over here is scandalous. Plus Tay-" knocks interrupt her
Seeing my aunt looking as strung out as she was didn't even faze me. Her, my grandma, and couple of my family members was them crazy ass crack heads you saw willing to do anything for their next hit.
My mom opened her door to hear this crazy bitch beg for two and three bucks claiming she was hungry knowing damn well she trying to get high and of course my mom gave her ten bucks.
Finally getting out the car we made our way up to our room. The strong smell of urine filled my nostrils soon as I hit the stairs irritating me further then I already was. Using the key my mom gave me tianna and walked into the room. To my surprise it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but still wasn't up to par with what I'm used too.
Two full size beds we placed up against one wall while a small table and two wooden chairs were placed up against the other. A 32in flat screen tv hung above the wall and a small kitchenette area sat in the back right corner as the bathroom occupied the left side of the room. The tub didn't look the best but as long as I had On shower shoes I could handle it.
"Tay they got cable" tianna points out ---------------
"We should get new pillows" tianna suggest as we walk around Walmart tryna find things for the room
T had given us a hundred dollars to go out and get things that would make us more comfortable. Nodding to her in agreement I looked up from my phone to the price of the pillows trying to keep track of what we had left. After getting two comforter sets and cleaning supplies we had about twenty dollars left
"Just get four of em" I tell her as I reply to a text message to my boyfriend of four years who was currently on a football scholarship to Wyoming state university.
After checking out we made our way back to the car and loaded everything up. Pulling back up to the motel I rolled my eyes once again. It was starting to get dark out and that meant they was about to start acting more ignorant than before. Realizing T's car was gone and their room light was off I came to the conclusion they'd probably went to get something to eat
I grabbed both comforter sets and a couple of bags tianna begin to load up on the rest of em so we'd only have to make one trip. As I begin to walk up the steps I could feel a bag or two slipping cursing to myself I tried to save them but it was a lost cause. Before they could hit the pavement some dude had caught em
"Thanks I'll take those"
"Naw I got it let me help y'all" he replies as he grabs a few more bags from tianna and I. Deciding to accept his help I lead the way to the room
After placing all the bags on the bed I finally got a good look at the man

After locking the door behind him I stripped out of my clothes and put on some clothes I could clean in. Realizing tiannas big mouth self had said nothing in a while I looked to her and she was staring my way
"What's wrong with you"
"He was cute and he like you you just gone diss him like that?" She ask in astonishment
