About an hour later, Danni drove into the Backstreet BBQ Diner parking lot, on 421. Ashley pulled up right beside her. As they both walked up to the door, Ashley opened it for her like a gentlemen would. She smiled, as they were greeted by one of the waiters. They were seated at one of the booths, near the back window of the place. Danni took the seat in front of the window, so she could look out whenever she felt like it. Ashley sat on the other side, but not totally infront of her.
After ordering, they both just sat there in silence. Neither of them knew what to say. Suddenly, Ashley's phone when off.
"Hello," He said picking it up.
"Where are you?" CC questioned him.
"Out!"
"Did you forget?"
"forget wha- Oh man, studio time. Yea, I guess I did forget. I'll be there soon, just having breakfast somewhere."
"Okay, but Andy says you better be here by 1pm or else."
"Oh fuck him, he ain't the boss of me," With that, Ashley hangs up his phone.
Danni didn't bother asking who was on the phone. It was none of her business. To her it sounded like Ashley was either a singer, or in a band. Still, not her business. So she sat there texting Mason. He asked what she was doing, and she said having breakfast somewhere. Yea, so what she copied what Ashley said. It was true. Mason was kinda ticked off now, because she went without him. Danni told him to meet her around 2pm, or 3pm, but he ended up making plans with Marc, so he couldn't.
As soon as the food arived, they both started eating without saying a word. Danni caught Ashley staring at her, as did he catch her staring at him. They did this for about twenty minutes, before they started to talk again.
"So, you got any plans later," Danni flirted with Ashley.
"After the studio with the band, I'm free as a bird."
"You're in a band? Which one?"
"Black Veil Brides. I'm the bassist," Ashley grinned.
"Oh, my sister loves your band. I don't know why, I didn't reconize you before."
"So, how old are you?"
"24 in October, Halloween to be exact."
"That's cool!" Ashley kinda flirted.
Danni, ate the rest of her food, and sat in silence. She wasn't really sure why, Ashley was even talking to her in the first place. He's famous, she's not. He sure doesn't throw it out there though. Maybe, that's why she led him out for breakfast. Or, maybe it was just the way he was nice to her. Or, maybe she has a sweet spot for biker guys. Whatever the case may be, they were here now.
When it was time for the check, Danni grabbed it. She was the one who asked him to follow her, so she thought it would be her treat to pay. Ashley took the check, after she put it down. He reached for his wallet, but Danni stopped him. She paied for their meal, and they both went outside.
"Up for more fun?" Danni flirted.
"I would, but I really do have to be getting to the studio. Sorry!"
"It's okay, come here," Danni said pulling out a pen from her bag. Ashley walked over, and she quickly she took his hand, and wrote her number in it. "Call me sometime," She winked, and got in her car, driving away.

Later across town, Danni was out walking around. She went into some of the vintage shops, and got some new bandannas, and body jewlery. After walking what felt like a mile, she stopped at a park to go swing for a bit. While there, she saw a couple making out under a big oak tree. She missed the days she could do that, but she didn't miss the jerk she did that with.
In the middle of her thoughts, her phone went off. She checked it, only to find a text from Mason.
"Marc changed his mind about hanging out, you wanna come over?" Read Mason's text.
"Yea sure. I'm not doing anything anymore," She texted back, getting up, and walking all the way back to her car.
Danni, got in her car, and began blasting the stereo. Escape The Fate was playing on her MP3 player, she skipped it. Pierce The Veil came on next, but she skipped them too. She kept skipping for awhile, until a HIM song came on. She turned up the stereo, and drove off to Mason's house.
When she got there, Mason was outside sitting on his porch. Danni guessed he was waiting for her. He jumped up when he saw her car. Six weeks was a long time, without his best friend. Mason walked over to her, as she got out of her car. He hugged her, and she hugged back.
"I missed you," Mason said, hyper like.
"I missed you too!"
"So, did you have a good trip?"
"Yup! It was amazing. What did you do while I was gone?"
"Studio time, with Cary, and Austin. We even played a show at the Roxy."
"That's awesome, too bad I had to miss the show," Danni said joking.
Mason just looked at the ground. For the last year, he has wanted to tell her something, but failed to do so. He failed before she had a boyfriend, and he failed before she left for Germany. Why couldn't he just come out, and say it, instead of dropping hints? Sometimes Mason was too shy for his own good.
A few moments later, they walked up the porch steps, and into his house. Danni floped on the couch, and grabbed the xbox remote sitting on the table infront of her. It felt like forever ago since she kicked Mason's ass at halo 3. She turned on the TV, and xbox on, and started a game. Mason just sat next to her, watching her play the game by herself.
Danni nudged him, and asked him to play, but he just say no. Something was up with him, but she was too focased on her game by now, to even bother asking. After about four hours of game play, she noticed Mason had fallen asleep.
She decied to freak him out a bit, and kissed his cheek. This woke Mason up, and he frowned. He knew she was just playing around, but it hurt, because he liked her a lot. Slowly he got up, moving over to the chair. Danni shrugged it off, and started watching TV. She ended up leaving it on one of the music channels.
A few minutes later, her phone went off. It was Ashley, he texted her.
"Would you like to go on an official date?" Read Ashley's text.
"Sure, what time?" Danni texted back.
"8ish sound good?"
"Yea, you wanna meet up, or my place?"
"Your place."
Danni texted Ashley directions to her apartment. She spied the clock on her phone, and noticed she only had a little over two hours, before her date. Looking over, she noticed Mason, who looked like he was lost or something. She playfully punch him to get his attention.
"What?" Mason moaned.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing," Mason lied.
"Nothing my fucking ass! You're over there looking like a lost little kid, in the middle of summer."
"I like you," Mason said, under his breath.
"What was that? Oh never mind, it can wait. I have a date. I gotta get going."
Mason just watched her get up, and leave. He was too lost in his own thoughts, to even walk her out. He stayed that way for awhile, before going upstairs to take a shower. Maybe he could think better, and come up with a plan, on how to tell her he loves her.
