"Mo? Breakfast?" Winter asks me as I sat in her kitchen at the island.

I slowly shook my head letting out an yawn.

She shrugs and finishes cooking.

"How'd you sleep?" She asks breaking the silence.

"Good." I sigh.

She turned around and raised an eyebrow ."You okay?"

I nodded . "I'm just fine. Look Winter thanks for your hospitality, I gotta get going."

She put what she was holding down then came to me pulling me into a tight hug. "Mo,don't be stupid. Don't go back to that man knowing he puts his hands on you. He's controlling you and changing you." She says softly.

I pushed her away a little. " I'll see you around."

Leaving out without looking back.

Once I got to the house I breathe in and out before entering .

There sitting on the couch,Marcus.

"You can't answer nothing huh?" He asks playing with his beard sinking in more into the couch.

I placed my keys in my purse shutting and locking the front door.

"D-Didn't feel like talking to you at the moment." I mumbled.

He slightly sat up and looked at the palm of his hands, making me tense up. "You the cause of me putting my hands on you, none of this is my fault." He says standing up making his way towards me.

"How? How is this my fault! You hitting me is your fault!" I shout.

In the matter of seconds his slaps me across the face. I immediately placed my hand on my cheek and looked at him.

"I love you ! And you just going around fucking with niggas behind my back, disobeying me and shit! You know how stupid you making me look ?! Answer me !" He shouts louder than before getting all up in my face.

Before I could let anything come out my mouth he hits me again.

"Next time answer me Asap." He says brushing pass me .

I couldn't, I couldn't take his shit anymore. I really regret every word I said to Winter , this man clearly didn't love me. Why am I staying? Why am I allowing him to control me? Why am I taking up for him every time? I needed to let myself go, be away from him but it's so hard. He finds me every trip , and its scary.

- 1 week later -

I sat my bags in the backseat of my car and got inside the driver seat. I've decided to leave Marcus, I told him I was done and of course he didn't like that. He blacked my eye and busted my lip telling me I'm not leaving him and he owns me.

But today, while he's at work. I decided to back my things and leave, changed my number yesterday without him knowing and my iCloud password and such so he wouldn't find me. Winter wants me to stay with her,but I already knew Marcus would find me there , And I wouldn't be comfortable with them being involved with my situations.

So I was staying at an hotel until I find me an apartment.

Once I started to drive my phone rung. I grabbed it out of my purse and didn't bother looking who it was.

"Hello?"

"Wassup Beautiful."

I hear Quavo's voice say. I furrowed my eyebrows , trying to figure out how he get my new number.

"How'd you get my number?"

"I got connects." He laughed .

I rolled my eyes and made a left turn.

"Seriously." I say sternly.

"Winter gave it to me, yanno just in case for other video shoots." He says.

"Oh,well I guess thats okay." I say. "Look I'm driving, I have to go."

"Wait !" He says stopping me from hanging up. " What you doing Saturday?"

" I'm not sure."

"Let's go on a friendly date, just me and you."

I was so confused on why he wanted to go on a date with me.

"Um, okay. I'll let you know."

"Alright baby." He says.

For some reason I was kind of attracted to him, his dreads , the grills, the chains, the way he talked, his smile, the way he looks at me, he was just perfect. But I wasn't really in a rush to be with him or anything, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to go on this "friendly" date with him.

Once we hung up I pulled up at the Marriott Hotel.

I decided to stay at the room for like a week to just distance myself from 'Marcus'.

I'm not even feeling this book tbh😭🤦🏽‍♀️ I should start it over .....😩😂💯 like seriously juice it up make it more better, I literally gave up lowkey that quick.

Should I start it over yall ? Same story but just better , catch my drift?
