As I picked up the last box in my room i looked around and thought. Now instead of pink and purple picture frames it's an empty wall. Instead of having a filled closet with millions of colors, it was now a pole and dust bunnies. I took one more look before it was the last time I saw my very first bedroom. I've lived in this house for about 15 years, almost 16.
I got to the moving truck and gave my box to my dad. I looked at the exterior of the house that I lived in for my entire life. The walls needed work because they were losing their color. The widows needed to get new glue in between them, because you could feel cold air during the winter. Everything worked inside the house so I didn't see why we needed to move.
"Dad, why are we moving anyway? This house is just fine. Plus who am I going to be friends with, being I'm going to be home schooled?" I ask annoyingly.
"Amanda I've told you a million times. Your mother wanted to restart, she wanted to get out of the city and go to the country of Wyoming. And don't worry about making friends their are plenty of teenagers nearby, especially being we are going to have a ranch. " He replies while putting more boxes in the trailer.
I brighten up at hearing the word 'ranch'. I smile for a moment at the sight of having a horse. I love horses, my life pretty much revolves around horses.
"Really?! We're going to have a ranch?" I asked.
"Yes and you know that horse you saw at the horse sale?" He paused as I nodded yes, "Well I've convinced the owner to sell him for $1,500 instead of his original price."
I screamed with happiness as jumped up and down saying thank you a million times. He said to calm down or he'll have to put reins on me. I laughed at that and sat in the car waiting for my mom to get in.
The trip their was long. I had a fun time though, I took pictures of the beautiful landscape with my new camera I got from my dad right before we left. The grass was a rich green. The sky was a bright blue with hints of purple. And as I watched the grass and farms pass by I decided to take a nap. I grabbed my pillow from the back seat and set it on the window, and dazed off.
My dream...
I was walking around the forest with my best friend Aly, she was my only friend at my school before I moved. We were walking on a trail and saw a really cute squirrel. We both got out our cameras and took a picture. We kept on walking...
I awoke to being thrusted forward and my pillow thrashing out from underneath my head.
"Sorry, hun. There was a crazy driver and he almost hit us. So I had to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting him."
"Its alright mom. How's dad with the huge semi?" I question.
"Well he called me a little while ago saying all things were good, so I'm expecting he's alright."
"That's good news." I relieved myself.
As I watched the sunrise get prettier and prettier. My mom stoped for gas and I went inside to get myself and my parents some snacks. I looked around the store, the ceiling was old looking and had a few wet stains. The walls were painted a dim white and had a few chips in the paint. I turned in an asle and pick up some chips and a few drinks. I even got some candy for me and my mom. I went out to the car and gave my mom our snacks and went to the semi to give my dad his. He said thank you and I got in the car and we drove off.
