-TRACY-
"Have a nice day sweets!" mom says as she finishes up making our lunches.
"Mom, I'm starting another year of high school, fun isn't in my vocabulary, let's save that for college. " smirking as I grab the bags and finish up my breakfast.
"Gosh, what happened to kids? Y'all don't appreciate the joy of learning something new! Back in my day...." she says, looking up as if trying to remember something.
"Mom, please stop, you are not that old, plus, I have to get to school!" I grab the keys and throw my dishes in the sink.
"See, that's the spirit! Now go get your brother if you want to drive the car." she says as she starts to wash the dishes.
I grab my bag and my sweater from the closet, "Ugh mom, can't you do it?"
"Tracy..." she threatens, and oh boy, don't get on her bad side!
"Fine, hey booger, hurry up, don't make me late!" I yell and look up the stairs to see my doofus of a brother printing something.
He looks up, "Keep your pants on, sis "
"Is that your summer school assignment? You're doing that now?!" Exasperated, i walk back to the kitchen. "mom, how am I related to him? We're nothing alike!" I sit down on a bar stool and get out my phone to see if there are any new messages.
"I beg to differ" she mutters but loud enough so I could hear. I choose to ignore and notice the time. My brother runs down and gets his things. We are out the door in a jiffy and heading on our way.
***(name the stars as you like! <3)***
As I walk in to my AP bio class, I see the last person I wanted to see. "Great, Darin, you're in this class too?"
He smirks, looking me up and down, I swear that boy thinks with his dick 99% of the time.
"ya babe, why, you don't think you can take all this brains & beauty?" he poses.
"first of all, ew, second of all, it's more like all brawn and no brain" I smirk and turn. He slaps my ass and i turn back to punch him in the arm. All his friends laugh as he fake cowers and clutches his arm. I roll my eyes and turn back around. I sit down next my best friend, and also my long-time crush, Caster. Since his mom is part of the school committee, he gets extra privileges. He used that to his advantage and chose to have all of the same classes as me. We talk for a while and then we hear laughter and whooping. We look up to see Darin hitting on some new girl. She blushes and looks at the floor and he lifts her head and winks. "sometimes i don't know whether to laugh at him or pity him." there are some more hoots as he kisses her cheek, making her blush even harder. " God, it's like in order to qualify as a football player, you have to be an asshole."
That's what Darin is, typical quarterback of our football team. He's narcissistic, brawn, not to mention HOT (you didn't hear that from me) and also a grade A asshat. With his almond blue eyes and his big guns, he is the most popular guy at school. The rest of us, well let's just say, we were not that lucky.
We smirk and have a good laugh over him. When i calmed down and looked up, I noticed Darin staring at me.
With what seem seems like... lust?
God, what a killjoy
The bell rings and everyone finds their seats.
