Chelsea's POV

It's been a week since it was decided I was to marry Prince Jacob and it's been absolute hell.

Flashback

It was two days after my mother had sent the letter and I was now in the garden with her. Caleb was somewhere with his sword trainer and father.

"Okay dear, now that you are soon to be married, there are some things that must be taken care of." My mother said. I nodded.

"And what may those be mother?" I ask.

"Well, there are some lessons you need to take in order to be a good wife. Lessons you refused to take years ago." My mother gave me a hard stare. "These include sewing, dancing, cooking, raising children-"

"Wait what!?" I blurted out. She looked at me. "Ch-children? I'm too young for children." I said. My mother chuckled.

"Darling, it's law that you are to at least be pregnant no more than a year after you are married." She said before continuing, either not noticing or ignoring the look of horror on my face.

"You also need to practice your horseback riding and archery skills." I heard her say. I nodded.

Just then, a young squire boy came running into the garden, bending down on one knee when he reached us, panting. "My queen, my princess, a letter has arrived from Aralia." He held out an envelope.

My mother smiled and took the envelope, waving her hand to dismiss the squire boy. He nodded and stood up, turning to leave.

"Thank you." I told him. He turned back around, his eyes wide. "You're most welcome my princess." He bowed, before turning away smiling and leaving the garden.

My mother opened the letter, grinning as she read its contents. "Prince Jacob and his parents have agreed to the union, and they will be coming here within 2 weeks time so you and Prince Jacob can become acquainted. Oh my, we have much to prepare for. You'll start your lessons tomorrow morning. You must be perfect for the prince." My mother stated excitedly. I nodded and smiled. I hate this so much.

End flashback

My attention was brought back to reality by the head seamstress. "Your highness, pay attention, you nearly stabbed yourself with the needle." She tutted. I sighed and went back to sewing the annoying fabric.

Afterwards, I had a small break until my dancing lesson. My stomach growled. I haven't had a proper, filling meal for a week now. I'm being practically starved just to look good.

I snuck to the kitchens and looked around seeing no one, before I snatched some apples and peaches. I really love peaches. I left the kitchen before anyone caught me and privately enjoyed my stolen snacks.

I finished them just in time for my lesson. I sighed and made my way to the ballroom.

Time skip~ Night

I groaned in pain as I collapsed on my bed. My feet were killing me. My legs were killing me. Everywhere was killing me. Who the hell actually ballroom dances for 4 hours, in heels?! They're really trying to kill me.

I heard someone come in, Sarah, and at the sight of me, she went to draw a bath. I thanked her and went in, sighing in pleasure as the warm water soothed my sore body.

I reluctantly left the bath 40 minutes later and put on my night gown, jumping into bed. I was out as soon as my head touched the pillow.

I know, this chapter is crappy, but who cares?? Not this mochi☺
