That was it. All I could stand. My knees collapsed under me and I fell helplessly to the floor. My arms barely held my weight. My vision began to flicker, and I knew I was going to faint soon enough. Letting my cheek hit the gravel, my eyes shifted to the man that stood before me. The light reflected off his glasses so I couldn't see his piercing hazel eyes. He shook his head and straightened out his suit jacket. I had disappoined him again.
"I'm sorry Father," I whispered, shutting my eyes.
"Sorry?" He replied with his cold, judging tone. "Your apology is meaningless. Perhaps next time you shall learn to win."
My vision flickered one last time before it was gone. His footsteps were distantly heard crunching over the gravel before I completely lost my grasp of the world.
