Katy's POV

Buzz. Buzz. Buzz.

My phone has been vibrating for the past 5 minutes non-stop but I've been getting my makeup done and couldn't answer it. Finally I had to pick it up. It was my mom. Thank God, I really needed to hear my moms comforting voice before my show.

"Katy?" My mom asked.

"Hey mom it's so great to hear from you! I know I haven't been to the house in a while and I miss you and dad so much!" I said.

"We'll Katy I'm kinda calling about your father. You see the thing is his lungs were low on oxygen levels and high on liquid and he passed out. We're at the hospital and he's doing okay but he requested that you come here, he really wants to see you." She said.

"Is dad going to be okay?" I asked.

"He'll be fine, they just had to pump some of that water out of his lungs, they said he can go home in a few days." She replied.

This sounded really bad and I really wanted to be there for my dad but I have a world tour! How am I going to do 75 shows and be there for him?

"Mom, you know I have a show tonight and every night for the next 4 days! I only get a one day break and that's when I fly to Boston. How do you expect me to fly to California and make it back in time for my show?" I asked.

"Katy I know this is a lot for you right now and I didn't mean to add to the pressure. Your father will understand that you can't make it. Don't worry about it. Anyways I have to go, your fathers waking up. We'll talk soon Katy. I love you."

"I love you too." I whispered, but the line had already gone dead.

Even though my mom told me not to worry, I hung up the phone with a huge lump in my throat. I felt terrible about my father. I really wanted to drop everything and go but I know I couldn't do that. Even so my mom said that he would be fine, right?
