Auradon Takeover ( Harry Hook x Uma )

The Date

Sorry I haven't updated in a while I was packing for my trip. (I will be writing during my vacation) anyways I thought the picture up there was perfect! Hope you enjoy this chapter.

Uma's POV:

So Harry Hook, my best friend since we were kids just asked me on a date...
This ought to be interesting.

He was supposed to pick me up on the royal boat at 8:00 sharp. And sure enough, at 8:00, there he was. Classic Harry, red coat, tricorn hat, and of course, guyliner smeared around his eyes. "Hey Harry!" I said with a wink. "Uma!" He beamed. I stepped onto the boat, to get a closer look. He had prepared a picnic (more like a feast) for us. He sat on the ground, and I followed.

It was hard to make any kinds of conversation. I've been in a few awkward situations before, but this takes the cake.

"So Uma, um," he stuttered. Poor guy. Whatever happened to confident, crazy Harry Hook? "Yes Harry?" I replied. "Well I mean, you agreed to this date.." he said slowly. I nodded. "So does that mean possibly there's a chance of us being together?" He said hopefully.

I felt my heart beat faster. Yes, yes, yes it screamed. But my mind knew I couldn't. I did like Harry, I might have even loved him. But ruling Auradon, gaining respect, if I were to continue doing that, I had to be with King Ben. He ran everything in Auradon, well he used to run everything in Auradon, I thought smirking to myself. I had to lie. I had to break his heart. I didn't want to, but I had to.

I took a deep breath. "No." I said, and I felt my heart drop. Harry looked utterly crestfallen. "I'm sorry, but I have to stay with Ben." I said taking his hands then letting go. I took another deep breath and walked back onto the docks, then ran home crying. I had never felt like this. Sad, but because of myself. I made myself sad. I've never done that before.

Harry Hook's POV:

"No." She said, "I have to be with Ben." Then she just ran away. The scene kept playing over, and over in my head. In that moment I knew what I was going to do. I was going to make Uma fall for me. No potions, no spells, just me. There were some girls I thought were kinda cute, but that's not how I felt about Uma. I truly loved her. You can't just throw that kind of love away. I will make Uma love me.
