Yoongi woke up panting heavily. He didn't exactly have a reason why, but he let his instincts sink in. He was lying down, but as he looked over he saw a child who looked about 10 years younger than him sitting in a chair. He would have jumped, or shooed the child out, except the child was slightly familiar in a weird way.

"Hello there," Yoongi coughed dryly.

"Hello!!! I'm Jungchi, and you're Yoongi, right?"

"Yes I am! How do you know my name?"

Yoongi scanned the room for any sign of parents or a doctor, but he saw none. It was just him, Jungchi, and the curtain separating him from the window. He couldn't seem to look down. However, he felt cold.

"Hey Chi, if you don't mind me calling you that. Can you put that blanket over there on me?"

The boy, who looked about 12 years old grabbed the sewn blanket and draped it over Yoongi's legs.

"Better?"

"Great! Thank you." Yoongi thought for a second, trying to think of something to occupy his and the boys time until his parents came back for him. "Do you want to play a game?"

The kid nearly jumped out of his chair at the request. "Sure!"

"Okay, let's play I-Spy. I spy with my little eye... something blue."

Yoongi nearly laughed at the young boy before him looking around the room frantically for something blue.

"The sky... no," he whispered to himself. "Oo! Oo! The floor!!"

Yoongi shook his head no, as he watched the child rush around the room.

"Oh!! You're blanket!"

"Ding ding ding!" Yoongi clicked his tongue as the child cheered, "You wanna know something?"

The boy nodded frantically, his brown eyes widening at the statement.

"My parents gave this blanket to me... before they went away."

"They went away! Why?"

"Well, something happened, and they never came back." Yoongi felt the dryness in his eyes disappear and he tried to raise a hand to wipe it away. However, Yoongi noticed the boys face as he said that. It softened, but quickly tightened in thought.

"Oh. Well I guess the same happened to me."

Yoongi was surprised when he heard this. How was a young boy with him, and his parents weren't even there?

"Hmm, do you mind telling me what happened to them?" He gestured for the boy to sit in the bed so he was comfortable.

"Well, I could always hear my parents, they were always there with me. But one day, I couldn't hear them anymore, I couldn't hear anything anymore. I even had an older brother, but I never had the chance to see him," Jungchi sniffled.

"Why are you here then?" Yoongi wondered aloud.

The boy started to look down at himself. "Well, I was in an accident..."

Yoongi decided to leave it at that and caress the boys dark hair. Whispering sweet nothings, telling him he would be okay. I guess him being in an accident hit a sore spot.

He didn't know for sure but neither of them had families, and he was going to make sure they were there for each other.

Occasionally, Jungchi would look at Yoongi's arms and legs, but he still remained clueless and never asked any questions. He just stayed there, and talked to Yoongi.

"Well, if it makes you feel a little bit better, I can act as your big brother. I don't have one. And it seems like you could use one as well." Yoongi looked down at the young child, wiping a hand across his head as he nodded eagerly. It was obvious the boy had been through a lot of pain in his life, and he just needed a shoulder to cry on.

"What happened to you?" The little boy seemed to regret his words as he realized his curiosity had the best of him. He quickly stuttered, "Well, if you don't mind me asking."

Yoongi was confused and as he looked back, he realized he didn't remember anything. Or how he ended up there in the first place. That is when he looked all around him. Beeping monitors. Bags hanging next to what he was rested on, and trailing from those bags was a tube into his arm. The realization had set in.

"Doctor... His BP levels are getting a little higher."

"What does that mean?" A worried voice seemed to chime in.

"Well, it usually means a couple of things but it may signify that your friend is waking up. I think you should go back to your room, it's getting late."

"Uh... do you think I could stay in here, Doctor? I don't want him to be alone when he wakes up." (YNWA;)

Who is that? I don't have any friends here. I don't even have any family...

The doctor thought about it for a few seconds. "Sure. But please do not move around. You are still recovering after all."

"Thank you."

What? This 'friend' is injured too? From what? And I'm injured as well?

Before they both knew it, Yoongi had opened his eyes. Slowly but surely. And his friend seemed to notice too. As well as his doctor who had just began to walk out of the room.

"Jungchi? What happened?"

The doctor shifted uncomfortably as he moved closer to Yoongi.

"Yoongi, you were in an accident. From what it seems, you were surfing and suddenly you hit a riptide and now you're facing some... serious consequences."

"What?" He felt tears begin to build in his eyes.

Serious consequences? What happened? What went wrong?

The doctor read his thoughts as he was about to respond.

"I know this is hard for you. Your friend here, Jimin, saved you."

Yoongi looked over at the male sitting with a cast on his legs.

Oh my Holly. There is no way...

"Hello, Yoongi. I'm Jimin," despite the serious tone, he smirked. Jimin smirked.

It's the boy next door.

The doctor coughed, and Jimin's eyes became shifty.

"Yoongi, you're paralyzed."
