Heroes In The Dark

Chapter 3

"Silo RUN," my mom says as she is fights for my life. I run and don't look back. I hear my mother screams in pain a Ike stabs her in the back.

"NOOOOOOOOO!"

I wake up in a musty dark room. The walls covered in dust and spider webs. I was wrapped to a chair with a restrainer whip. I only know one person that would use that. Kanon. Why would she be working with Raced? What is her goal? I spot Natalie across the room. She's bleeding from her head. I struggle to try and get out of the chair. I feel weak from Kanon's whip. I'm powerless. The doors opens as a ray of blinding light comes through at the same time Raced does.

"I see you woke up," Raced says.

"Now I'm just gonna need you to answer some of my questions," he says with a smirk, "where is your father?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," I say obviously lying. 

"I see you wanna do this the hard way then," he says as he walks over to a table full of knives and sharp objects. Sweat starts dripping down my face. I start struggling even more. Hoping the an arm could slip out. 

"Oh no your not going anywhere, not while you have that wrapped around you."

"That's okay cause you can't hurt me," I said confidently, "you need me."

"You don't understand do you," he said smiling, "I only need you to talk, I could care less how much pain your gonna be feeling." I start sweating even more. I start screaming for help, hoping that someone would hear me. It was pointless. No one could hear me. 

"This could all be over if you would just tell me where your father is."

"I already told you that I don't know where he is."

"What is with teenagers being so difficult nowadays," he says to himself. He picks up a meat cleaver and points it at my chest. I try to stand up but the whip is connected to the Natalie's chair. If I were to pull her, she would fall right on top of the table with knives. Raced tries to spread out my balled up fist. I try to stop him, but his strength is overwhelming. As he raises his arm to cut my fingers, an explosion goes off outside. 

"What's going on out there," he says as he rushes to the door to check what is going on. I was saved. But by who? I'm surprised that Natalie is stilled knocked out. They must have injected her with a strong sedative. The door opens as someone runs to Natalie and breaks the whip.

"Who are and what are you tryna do to her," I asked. He didn't answer. He ran to me and handed me a piece of paper. It said that his name was Yashida and that he was here to save us. I didn't trust him. The second he lets his guard down I'm gonna make a run for it with Natalie. We run outside to be surrounded by a bunch of Raced's henchmen.

"You think that you can just walts in there and take my prisoners," he said with a bloody nose. The henchman all take out their weapons ready to fight.

"Oh this is gonna be fun." I said in excitement. As I'm about to teleport punch one of the henchmen, Yashida gives me Natalie and rushes in. 

"That's not fair," I think to myself, "but this is my chance to escape, let's not waste it." I start uncontrollably teleporting around the facility. I can't control my powers and Natalie is still knocked out so she can't slingshot us out of here. I need to concentrate. I take a deep breath and think of only of getting out of here. I teleport.

"I did it," I yell. Five henchmen running down the hallway spot me and aim down their sights.

"Uh Oh." I begin teleporting rapidly down hallways, not knowing where I'm going. Until I finally find the exit.

"Finally," I say relieved. I open the door only to find about fifteen henchmen. In a flash, they all collapsed. There fifteen bodies lay in a pool of blood. I feel a tap on my shoulder. In a panic I immediately start teleporting to the street. A van pulls up in front of me. 

"Hop in," the driver says. I get in not having any other options. I was out of breath and I don't know how much longer I can keep teleporting. I put Natalie down in the back and sit next to her. 

"Thanks," I say. I look to the right of the driver and I see Yashisda. Well I guess there is no escaping this time.
