The summers wind drearily swept around, lingering like the bitter taste of coffee in the morning. So refreshing and welcoming.

Skipping around, the leaves crunching softly beneath her feet, small pies reminiscent yesterdays wind. Emily, a young girl, seeing the world in a childish perspective, prancing and laughing as her parents, young and together, held hands re kindling there love for each other which never dyed out as it's flame, ever lit. It's soft orange  perfectly placed in the centre of the flame, whilst the other colours merged continuously.

Her parents, although young, tired from their long working days, trying to make Emily's life easier as they both knew what was to come. Trying to hold onto what was left of their time together. Hope seemed like a chance game, so many letters. So many clues. So little time.

The next day

Emily sat on the long brown sofa. Her legs bobbing up and down as they dangled precariously on the edge of the sofa, her mind lost in deep thought as she read a review on the up coming first Harry Potter novel. She grinned as  read through the highly rated reviews from many newspaper company's, which had the opportunity to lay eyes on the new novel, full of magic and mystery.

Her parents sat on the table in the kitchen. Both looking down into there coffees, stirring the coffee granules continuously for a rich blend. Pondered what to say to stop the silence between them...
"Well, what do we tell her?" Emily's mother said bitterly.
"We tell her nothing till we know it is near, we cannot put her in danger as well" Emily's father said aggressively.
"She does not deserve to know what will happe..."

"What happen daddy?" Emily said curiously, she had finished reading the reviews and had just walked over and heard the final words to light the match in her mind.
"Nothing sweetheart, your mother and I want to surprise you, now, shall we go and have that game of WII bowling I know we have all been craving." He said enthusiastically.
"I know I will win, for sure"
"Nooooo, I will" Emily said excitedly
"Dear? How about you? Are you up for the challenge?" Emily's father said, grinning.
She brushed the crumbs off her skirt and stood up.
"Of course I am,  it's a free win, of course I'd take it"
