When I woke my father was still driving along the forest roads. Drops of rain were falling from the cloudy gray sky, the rain dropped on the window as I looked out. It made everything outside become a blur. I looked away, blinking a few times. I was still a bit frightened by thinking this is all a dream. I closed my eyes tightly, trying to get my mind to focus on a different thought. I opened my eyes and blinked a few times.

''How come it took you this long to find me?'' I asked with an angered tone in my voice.

''You would be safe at home if you didn't run away.'' My father argued.

''Do you know what its like to be a monster? To be feared by all?'' I snarled.

This time he didn't reply. I growled lightly, crossing my arms. I rolled my eyes, looking out the window as we drove out the maze like forest.

We both sat silently in the cramped car, I started to fear my words might had upset him. I looked at the window as the sun started to appear, the warm sunlight made the window misty. I looked down at my claws, I closed my eyes and sighed. I sank down in the seat,  I then looked at the empty seat next to me. I started to remember that I have a irritating big brother. I rolled my eyes and smiled slightly. I flexed my claw like hands, and sat back up.  I looked out at the ferns that passed by through the window from the corner of my eye. I shifted my eyes to the reflection of my father. I brushed my ''hand'' on my left arm, feeling regretful about what I had said earlier.  I started to get anxious, for the second time today, I let my emotions take control.

'' Where are you taking me now that you found me?'' I asked suddenly, thinking if he would even reply.

'' Back to the public science lab. '' He answered, not daring to look back. His eyes were filled with anger and empathy.

'' Why? there isn't a way to change me back anyways, I should've stayed in the forest where monsters like me belong...'' I said, feeling I was right about it. My father sighed and kept silent. I sank back down into my seat, blocking the sunlight from shining in my eyes. I blinked a few times, regretting almost everything I've done up to this point.
