CHAPTER 1
"This is your fifth time to get kicked out. Aren't you getting tired?", Alex said to her brother Al while doing water yoga in their outdoor pool.
"That's why I'm getting kicked out. I'm tired of it all.", Al said while floating above the water, sunbathing.
She stifled a laugh. "What are you tired of? You don't even study."
He reached for her board and turned it upside- down. She fell with a splash.
"Hey!", she counter- attacked and did the same to him.
"Hey! I'm wet.", he complained.
"You're at a pool, dumbass. Of course you'll get wet.", she snapped.
"Not if you—", he stopped. "Ugh... There's no point arguing with you."
"And there's no point arguing with you.", she repeated.
They exited the pool on separate sides.
Alfred and Alexandra Wang are children of a Chinese- American conglomerate father and an English mother.
Al entered Alex's room without knocking and jumped on her bed.
"What do you want?", she asked while combing her hair.
"Your room's more comfy than mine.", he said through closed eyes.
"What do you think dad'll do? If he admits you to another school and gets kicked out again, will there be other schools to accept you?", she turned to her brother.
She sighed. "You're tired doing nothing.", she was about to lay a blanket over him when a knock came on her door.
"Sir Alfred, Miss Alexandra, your father wants to see you.", a maid said.
Al and Alex looked at each other.
"Better get ready.", she told him.
"He's looking for you too.", he said.
"Well, I did nothing wrong.", she said.
CHAPTER 2
Their parents were waiting for them in the library. Their mother gave them a slight smile but her eyes were worried.
"I found a new school for you.", their father started even before they took their seats.
"You don't have to waste time.", Al said.
"Alfred, watch your tone.", their mother reminded.
"I know I'm not with this school.", he smiled. "And Alex?", he turned to his daughter. "You're going with him."
"Going with him? You mean..."
"Yes. Your talents would be more trained there."
"Do I still have to be better?", it's a question but she doesn't want to be answered.
"Yes.", their father's single reply.
"Do you have to do this?", their mom asked their dad when they left.
"This is right."
"Alex?", Al called. "Alex?"
"Let's just—go.", she turned to him. "He made his mind already."
"I have to pee.", Al said.
They departed to go to their new school.
"We cannot stop, sir.", one of the guards said.
