It's already been 4 and a half months and Tessa has yet to tell her parents that she's pregnant. Chance told them as soon as he got the news, but Tessa has been procrastinating.

Tessa's POV

"Chance, babe... I think we need to tell my parents about the baby." You say, out of the blue.

"Yeah, no kidding. It's been like 4 months." He responds.

"I was scared, okay? You know how my parents are..."

"Tess, everything's gonna be alright, okay?" Chance reassures her, " now lets make that phone call."

"Alright..." You go to your mom's contact and press call.

She took about a minute to answer, but that was the longest minute of your life.

"Hey honey, what are you doing?" You mom says in her normal sweet voice.

"Mom..." you say, your voice cracks as you're on the verge of tears.

Chance rubs your back.

"Yes, sweetie? You're okay aren't you?" Your mom says. You were so scared to tell her. You didn't want to break her heart.

"I'm pregnant... Mom I'm so sorry. I love you so much and I know I've disappointed you." You say, waiting for her response.

"Oh no, Tessa... Who's the father?"

"Ch-chance." You stutter.

"That Chance is a good guy. I'm glad it's him."
She says.

"Yeah me too, Mom." you say, jokingly.

"Well how far along are you?" She asks.

You were scared to tell her because you know she'd be disappointed that you didn't tell her sooner.

There was silence for a couple seconds.

"Um.. about f-four months... Mom I'm so sorry I didn't tell you sooner, I was just afraid you wouldn't love me anymore and I didn't want to let you down." You say, a single tear falls from your eye.

"Tessa! Don't ever think I wouldn't love you anymore. That's ridiculous. You know I'll always love you. This may be a bad situation, but I'll always be your mother which means I'll always be here for you."

The only thing your mom could her from the phone was sounds of crying for about ten seconds.

"Thank you mom. I love you." You say.

"I love you too Tessa. Call me and keep me updated."

"I will, mom, buh-bye" you hang up the phone and start crying. It was a mixture of tears of joy and sadness. You turn to chance as he holds you tight in his arms.

"Not so bad, right?" He says, kissing the top of your head."

"Could've gone worse." You say, giggling as you wipe the tears from your eyes.
