"Randy what did I tell you about going into your fathers office?" Y/n says towards the small child.
"Sorry mommy... I just wanted to play with daddy..." the child replies. "We can play now since I don't have anymore work." Evan says as he comes out of his office.
"Yay! Daddy can we go to the park?" The small black haired child asked. "Sure. Go get dressed." Evan says as the kid runs off.
"Honey, I'll be gone this afternoon. I have an interview with a radio host." Y/n says as Evan comes up to her.
"Tale your time. You have no rush." He says as he wraps his arms around her body. "But you do. You have a stubborn kid you have to take to the park." Y/n says as she gives him a peck.
"Daddy let's go!" Evan lets go of his wife and turns to his child. "Alright Randy. Calm down." Evan says.
He grabs his keys and heads down the stairs while carrying his child in his arms. "Bye Mommy!" The child waves as they continue down the stairs.
"Be good Randy." Y/n says as she walks over to a room. She knocks on the door. "Hello my queen!" Marcel exclaims as he bursts out of the door.
"Hey Marcel. You mind helping me with wardrobe? I'm just going on a radio show. No need to be fancy." You say.
"Of course! I always got your back boo!" Marcel pulled her in to his room as he got her dressed.
-
"Now we have a special guest star here. It's
Y/n Fong." The talkshow host said. "Hello!" Y/n said into the radio."So Y/n. I'm going to ask you about your life story." The host said. "Of course. Well I lived a very normal life."
"And then you met Mr. Right?" The host joked. "Actually, at first I thought he was Mr. Wrong for sure."
"What about him made you think that?" "He was cold. I thought he was selfish because he shared no emotion."
"Harsh." He said. "But then after a while. I did fall for him. We got married and we had a kid and now times gone so fast that our kid is already 5."
"Really? Is everything perfect?" You nod with a smile. "You could say we met up in the wrong place at the wrong time."
-
"Mommy! Look what I found at the park!" The small child runs up to her and gives her a tiny daisy."That's so sweet of you Randy." Y/n says with a smile. "Mommy can I go play with Junior?" You nod before the child runs off to see his dog.
You walk up the stairs and knock on Evan's door. "Come in." You open the door and walk over to Evan who was at his desk.
"What are you doing?" You ask. "Reading up on some reports." He replies as he looks up at you.
"So how was Randy today?" You ask. "Our kid is always so active it's unbelievable how much stamina he has." Evan replies.
You walk behind him and softly massage his back. "Well, at least we know for sure he will be doing sports." You say.
"Don't get me started. I don't want my boy growing up to fast. It makes me feel old." He says. "Evan, you're almost in your 30's relax." You joke.
"At least I an spend the rest of my life with you. Time never seems to age around you. You look so young." He says.
You giggle. "I'm already developing a couple of wrinkles." You reply. "That's because you smile and laugh so much." He replies.
"And you recently began to get some." You reply. "I have an amazing boy and a beautiful wife do you not expect me to smile?"
You lay your head on his back. "I love you Evan." You say. He stands up and wraps his arms around you.
"I love you too sweetheart." They stood there in silence, taking in each other's presence.
-
The door opened as Randy quickly entered the kitchen. "Hey, how was your first day of middle school?" You ask."It was... okay." he replies. "What happened?" you ask as you walk up to him. "Nothing." he replies. "Randy." you say sternly.
"It was nothing." he says. "Randy Eric Fong, I've raised you for the past 11 years of your life. You grew inside of me and I know you down to your heart. What happened?" you ask once again.
"Everyone didn't want to talk to me. They thought that I was some snobby rich kid." He said. I pull him into a gentle hug.
"Oh sweetie, it's okay. Just show them they're wrong." I say. "How do I do that?" he asks. "Just be social and say hello to everyone!"
"You sure mom?" he asks, a bit unsure. "Positive."
-
"Mom! I'm home!" You look over and see Randy with a girl by his side. "Oh, welcome home." You say with a smile."Mom, I want you to meet someone. This is Madeline, my girlfriend." He says. "Well it's about time! You're 17 and finally got your first girlfriend!"
"Mom!" You laugh. "It's a pleasure to meet you Mrs. Fong." Madeline says. "Honey where are you?"
"In the living room!" You reply as Evan walks in. "Randy, you have a guest. I assume you must be his significant other-"
"Evan stop being so formal." You say. He clears his throat. "Right, Randy you have one rule while dating. You cannot be a jerk."
Randy laughs it off. "I know dad. We'll be going now. See you guys later."
-
"Honey, please not so tight." Evan complains as you continue to do his tie for him. "It's just a tie." You say."But it has to look perfect. Today is the day." He replies. You smile. "Evan... our wedding was 23 years ago... and now we have to celebrate our sons wedding instead."
He nods as you both walk out and sit in the front row of the venue. Randy stood at the alter looking nervous.
Then the music started to play. Madeline walked down the aisle and made it to the alter. The vows were exchanged as the two magic words were said.
-
"Mom, dad. Me and Maddie got you a present. Even though she couldn't be here, she wants you to open it.Randy hands Evan a box as he opens it, his face plastered with a small smile. He hands the box to you.
And inside the box, was a tiny pair of shoes.
