The gloves, the guns, the masks. These three things cover up the identity of a woman, that used to be a sweet little girl with dreams of being a princess. But all of that changed on September 18th, 2003...
By now I was 5 years old, me and my parents lived in a very friendly part of California. We lived in a street where everyone knew everybody, and we were all so nice to each other. So anyway, it was September 18th and I was out riding my bike... that's when they came. Soldiers, from places that no one ever spoke of, began surrounding our street. I pedalled as fast as I could all the way home as they were closing in, as I was about to enter the yard to my house....BAM! ..................
A bomb had landed, smack bang in the centre of my house...
I never saw my parents ever again. After that I fled my home until someone had picked me up from the street and taken me in as their own. I will always have a dept that could never be repaid to that family. So, from the day I turned 16, I dedicated my life to hunting and killing anyone who stood in my way of finding and destroying the people, who destroyed my life.I am now 18 years old as it is now 2017. I haven't yet turned 19 because it is only July. In the last 2 years I have been searching for any clues as to who had killed my family. I haven't found a thing. *the news turns on* "breaking news, today, the police of Moree, NSW, have opened the investigation to find out who the mysterious soldiers were, who killed many people in September 2003. Police are now in the search for Alexis Haining as she was one of the many people who survived the vicious attack. Here is alexis then:
And here is alexis now:
All the police are urging citizens to come forward to tell us if they have seen her. As to alexis, if you are watching, please come forward so that we can question you. Thank you everyone and goodnight."
Oh shit. I can't let them know where I am. I- buuuut... what could the questions be? If I bring myself forward, will the let me gain access to the apparent crime scene? Well, it's worth a shot. Besides, what do I have to lose? But, what type of questions do they want me to answer? I need a plan before I can go and bring myself forward. Step 1. Don't be seen. Step 2. Last as long as possible without being caught. Finally, step 3. Go to your old home town to see if you can enter yourself.
----------------------------------------------
It has been a month now and my face is all over the news and people are starting to come forward with reports about seeing me this last week. They all think they are helping the police, when really, i'm letting them see me. Its all part of the plan. The police are surrounding Moree which makes it difficult to enter. So, if i let the people see me here then the police will be attracted to California to find me. Then, when they are here, i make my escape to Moree and search for clues. Sure the police would have found a few of those by now, but they only look for the obvious things, not the hidden ones.
The time is now to fully show my face and to show myself walking into my home. i need to buy food, guns, ropes, masks, water and other supplies. OK, ready, and GO. With every bit of nerve i can muster i burst out of my apartment with my backpack. My backpack is already filled with money, phone, power bank, and black clothes for night time. When i enter the store, i can already feel the peoples eyes on me. I can see them glancing at the picture of me on TV then back at me. "Yeah, yeah im Alexis alright! deal with it!". Shit. I honestly think that my mouth has a mind of its own. now i just gave my self less time to escape. i probably have about an hour and a half to escape. thats not enough time.
I quickly buy the rest of my supplies and sprint as fast as i can back to my apartment. I burst through the doors just as i hear the sirens and the screeches of police cars pulling up outside. I glance out the window of the back door to see more police cars and officers running up the stairs. Theres only one thing i can do now, and that is run up to the roof. I have already practised what i should do if anything went wrong, and that is jump from roof top to roof top. I have measured the distance between each building and practised jumping between the first five buildings. On the fifth building i can jump the distance of each window sill.
I grabbed my gun and my katana. I already have my backpack on so i ran straight to the ladder to the roof. I took me a couple months to make this ladder but it was worth it in the end. I make out to the roof just in time before the police burst through the door. "POLICE! Alexis come forward now before we force you to!" jeez well i aint sticking around for that. I sprint across the rooftop as fast as i possibly can and leap over the gap towards the next rooftop. I run again and leap over to the third rooftop. This rooftop is the furthest away. I run and run and run and run and............LEAP. "AHHH" i accidentally let out a small scream as i miss the roof. I quickly reach up and grab the edge just before i fall. With an enormous struggle, i am eventually able to pull myself up. When i get on the roof i see the police coming up on to the roof.
I make the last two jumps with ease and begin to jump down the window sills. i make it onto the ground right on time to see the bus pull up. I race to the bus and jump on, "Where to ma'am?" "PLEASE, TO THE AIRPORT!!". He travelled as fast as he could for me. I pay him what i owe and run Into the airport. "Good morning ma'am, my name is charlotte, where would you like to go?" the reception lady seemed so nice and i would have been polite if i wasn't in a hurry so..."ONE TICKET TO SYDNEY STAT PLEASE" she then looked at me like i was crazy but the told me that they were boarding now, gave me the ticket to the flight an i raced to boarding are 6B. When i got on the plane i put my bag in the storage area and sat down. I let out a loud sigh of relief and waited for the safety presentation to end. When it ended a lady flight attendant came around and asked if i would like the usual plane food, and of course i said yes, its food for gods sake, she gave me a small meal, smiled, then moved on the next passenger. Now that i have my food i can finally eat then sleep...
