He walked the earth with darkness in his eyes

That even in death he’s willing to die
Just to make sure this baby of hers won’t expire
So dark was his eyes that no one reads what’s on his heart
And cold was his gaze you’ll never know what he cares about
For ‘tis the only way he’ll hate this child that had her depart
But still shield this boy from any harm that may arrive
