I listen to the song on the radio (be your everything), it reminds me of him. I fight back my tears so I wont look like a mess... time to move on Katie.

I stare outside our car's window admiring the sight of Fairview town, it looks beautiful. It was very far from our old place.
"Katie do you want me to help you with your things later?"my mom asks keeping an eye on the road. We just moved from Greendale, my mom said it was to forget all the bad memories and start new ones.
"no thanks mom, you should focus on your things"I stated.
"hey, don't feel sad sweetie, ok? this is for the best.. We lost two people in our lives, this will be a new begining for us."she said, I could see that she was keeping a poker face to hide the sadness.
"yeah I know... thanks for still being here , with me" I replied smiling.
she didn't reply, she just gave me a simple smile. We pulled up in front of a medum sized house, two story, peach color and a beautiful balcony.
I step up the porch steps and wait for my mom to unlock the door. She pushed the hard wooden door revealing a very spacious house. She told me my room was upstairs the second door to the right.
I ran up the spiral stairs taking two steps at a time and stopped right in front of my bedroom door. I took a deep breath and said.
"this is a start of a new beginning", I held the silver door knob and twisted it slowly and opening the door at the same speed.
Once i fully oppened the room's door I was happy to see that it was quite big. Creme colored walls, a beautiful bed already made, a black empty bookshelf almost 6 feet in height, bathroom door and a balcony door.
I enter the bathroom and saw it was spotless. Once I left the bathroom, I was shocked to see my mom sitting on my bed.
"Hey mom" I greeted with a smile.
"Hey Katie, so you like your new room?"
"Yes mom, thanks so much."
"Have you seen the view outside?"
"Not yet, I was about to go there and see but you came."
"Ohh well then i'll just go make dinner, after we eat dinner you'll go and rest alright there's school tomorrow."
"But- how?"
"I've been here before remember? I went to Fairview highschool and inqired you. They said you can come tomorrow morning, just get your schedule in the office inside. Dont worry I'll drive you to school."
"Ok mom, thank you." then i gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
Once she left I walked infront of a siding door to which was the balcony.
I slid the door open and stepped outside, I looked at the manificent view. It showed quite plenty of trees, busy streets, lots of houses, birds migrating to other places and I see it has a beach at the far end.
After I finished, I made my way downstairs to see my mom getting the table set. I helped her finish so we can start eating.
The scent of tomato sauce hit my nostrils as well as some other stuff.
"Pizza?" I questioned
"Yep. It's home made." she grinned showing her set of pearly whites.
"Let's eat then"
We started eating our dinner and started talking about getting ready for school and stuff.
"Are you gonna get a job here mom?" I started. My mom used to work at a 5-star restaurant, her and my dad but she left her for some prostitute looking lady when I was 10 years old.
"yeah...I'll be working just nextdoor as a cook for a family." She explained.
"ohh... well then, good luck"
we continued chatting for a little and finished eating then went straight to bed.

"Katie, sweetie get up or you're.gonna be late for your first day" mom said while shaking me awake.
"aghhhhh..... alright mom. 5 minutes" I grunted.
"hurry up or you're gonna be late." She walked down the stairs... her voice getting smaller and smaller.
I got ready and went downstairs to grab an apple and I ate it on the way to school.
Lots of people were walking around in the school yard... some were up stairs chatting.
"thanks for the ride mom"I gave her a quick kiss and ran up.
