Chapter 4

Arrogant.

Self-centered.

Super-sadist.

Three major words that best suit this dark-chocolate wavy haired guy who’s currently tuning his guitar. Good thing I made it here in time. Not to mention I almost got lost on the way here. If it weren’t for that handsome Samaritan, I would’ve come here late.

“Shion-san!” I turned to see who was calling me and found Shiro-san running towards me with a bottle of water on hand. I was surprised when he handed it to me, “We’re really sorry about what happened. Here, drink some. You look like you’re still catching your breath.”

At least one of the band members’ is kind enough to notice. I smile at him and nod, “Thanks, Shiro-san.”

He laughed, “Just call me Shiro. You’re our manager so I’d prefer it if you’d call me by my name.”

I was about to speak when Maku and Ash suddenly popped out from behind him. “I’m really impressed,” Ash-san stated, pressing the rim of his glasses.

“Yeah. I never thought you’d actually come here according to the time Kaz gave you,” inserted Maku as he glanced at Kazuo-san who was still busy tuning his guitar. I’m actually seated at the side, beside the large sound box. Behind me is a transparent glass—the control room. I heard we’re at a recording studio. We’re the only ones in here because they’re still practicing for their song before recording it. Well, this is a pretty big place and it’s air conditioned, too. I wonder if the same applies to the other recording rooms?

“Come on, let’s start,” Kazuo-san called to the rest of the members as he gave me a death glare.

Okay, what was that for, you arrogant devil?

Speaking of which, since I think the only thing I’m going to do here is just sit and watch their practice, I pulled out my sewing kit. Good thing I brought these with me. Yup, I’m gonna start sewing some miniature dolls or stuffed toys. Teehee.

This hobby will take my mind off what happened earlier. I don’t want to get pissed off at that devil any longer. It’ll only make my day go bad.

Before I could start stitching the said doll, they started the practice. The beat had caught my interest that I looked up and watched.

“~Say goodbye to the halls and the classes

Say hello to a job and the taxes

The weekends with old friends

Spinning into 9 to 5 routine~”

Whoa. Kazuo-san’s voice sounds really nice. The way his voice blends with the instruments they’re using…it’s kind of magical and…nice.

“~Tell me how you feel over and done with

Like your life is a map with no compass to guide

At the bar drinkin’ way too much

We sing along to forever young

So here we go again,

Wishing we could start again~”

And then he looked at me as he continued singing.

“~Wendy, run away with me

I know I sound crazy don’t you see what you do to me?
