"Ormund," a whisper, filled with a longing.
"Mother?" his voice wavered, uncertain.
Ormund turned around, anguished about his parent's death. There was no one in sight. Am I going mad? He thought to himself with self-pity in himself knowing that he should have finished Prince Vakon from slaying his mother.
Leaves and trees started rustling, as the day got windier and windier.
Ormund turned his head back to the camp fire. He stared into the flames as tendrils of the flames glistened in front of his face.
Someone came out of a tent that was behind Ormund. Only a few feet separating the tent and where Ormund was sitting by the camp fire. That man walked towards Ormund, as the camp fire flames sparkle grow taller with each step he takes. The man stepped out of the darkness into the light that was generated by the camp fire. His face showing only a mask covering his mouth, long messy hair reaching down to his hips as well as his clothes being all black which would perfectly blend in with the darkness of the night.
The man's shadow reached past Ormund, which he saw from the corner of his eye.
Ormund turned around, out of regard to see what or who was making the shadow behind him. His eyes locked with the man's eyes. Ormund stared at the face for a little while longer. Then, his eyes started to widen along with his mouth widening as if he was ready to speak.
"Aelor? What are you doing awake, it is already past mid-fall," said Ormund.
"I was just going to the forest so I can take a piss. Then I will go back to sleep." said Aelor.
"So, go do that. I am leaving the camp to a nearby town." said Ormund.
"Still on about vengeance against the Empire crap?" Aelor asked.
"I am a wanted criminal, and they slaughtered my parents," Ormund replied angrily. The flames of the camp fire got higher as Ormund said that. "I previously took one life for another. Prince Vakon for my mom. Now I will destroy all of the Empire for my father."
Ormund got up from his seat by the camp fire and waved Aelor good bye. He walked north-east from the camp site towards a gas trial he could see in the sky. Even though it was dark during the night, the smoke was manifest.
Ormund found the stables, which was near the camp site and untied the horse's halter and got on its saddle.
"Hyah!" Ormund said as the horse started galloping towards the smoke.
A few hours had passed.
Ormund spotted something in the distance. Three people were riding something. Ormund got adjacent to the figures. The three figures revealed themselves to be men. After getting closer, he realized that it was more of the Empire's people.
"Stop right there by the name of King Tullus!" said Man #1.
Ormund's horse stopped galloping as the three men stopped as well. Ormund in front of 3 men, only 4 feet separating them.
"I remember you," said Man #2
"Now that I recall, his face seems familiar." said Man #3.
Man #2 pulled out a paper from his back pocket, and Ormund recognized it as a wanted poster.
Ormund took out a stiletto from the sheath on his waist and threw it at Man #2's chest. "Hyah!" Ormund shouted as he kicked his horse on the sides, the horse sped between Man #1 and Man #3 and took out his sword. He sliced Man #3's face and shot a knife from his arm gauntlets which have a mechanism of shooting thin blades by the formation of their fingers into Man #1's throat. Man #1 was gurgling for blood and eventually died.
