My brother and I arrived home late. We had a party at his friend’s house and it’s now 10:00 pm. I directly went to the living room and plopped myself on the couch.
“Yuu, are you forgetting something?”
Eh? What is my brother up to now?
“Uhmmm…I don’t know whatever it is that you mean, Kazu.”
“You forgot to remove your shoes and wear the slippers. Look, you still have them on. Just how many times do I need to remind you that?”
“Gomen. I didn’t mean. It’s just that in England, you wear them even at home. That’s formality, you know.”
Yep, I said England. I was living there until last week. My brother and I grew apart; him, living here in Japan, and me, on the other side of the world. Why? That’s because our parents divorced. I grew up with my mom while Kazu, with my dad.
Well, it’s not like my parents are mad and bitter with each other. In fact, they are the best of friends. They just decided to divorce because they don’t feel the romantic love between them anymore, just the sibling affection or whatever they call it. I know my parents are weird.
“But here in Japan, removing your shoes is a form of respect. So hurry up and remove those.”
“Hai, hai, onii-chan.”
And even though onii-chan and I grew apart, we love each other very much. Yeah, very much, that others think of it as incest. Well, why not? Haha.
Now, I’m in Japan, taking my vacation from work. I am Kamenashi Yuu, 24 years old and a pilot. Yes, Yuu is my name which means gentleness with superiority. Yeah, like I’m anything but gentle. But maybe that superiority helped me with being a pilot, ‘cause you know, female pilots aren’t common. And my brother, Kamenashi Kazuya is 25 and an idol. I’m telling you, he is handsome and hot and smart. He is really good in singing, dancing and acting. If he was not my brother, I’d definitely go for him.
And he invited me to watch his concert tomorrow. Which, I’m really excited. I know that he’s in a super famous group KAT-TUN but I don’t know any of his group mates. He even bought tickets for me and penlights, and get this, his very own uchiwa. How kind of my brother…really.
I went upstairs to sleep. And as I passed by his room, I saw him studying something. I went over him and peeked at the papers.
“Nee, it’s really late, nii-chan. You still have a concert tomorrow. You better sleep now.”
“Thanks, Yuu but I need to review the concert program first.”
He looked at me and smiled reassuringly. *sighs* I really love him.
“Sore ja, oyasumi.”
“Hai, hai. Tomorrow, you’ll see a different side of me. Be careful, you might suddenly fall in love with me.” He said as he ruffles my hair.
“As if you don’t already know that I’m in love with you.”
“Haha. I love you too. So now, go to your room and sleep. Oyasumi.”
----------
We arrived at Tokyo Dome 2 hours before the concert. That’s because Kazu needs to rehearse with KAT-TUN. So by the time being, I went to a nearby café.
