It was about twelve o'clock in the morning and I didn't want to get up, I never did. The splitting headache I had was enough to get me out of bed to get some Advil. As I walked into the bathroom to grab some Advil I saw the wisp that stared back at me, its smile as creepy as ever. It appeared in every mirror or reflective surface I looked at, it had become my friend though well my only friend but I wasn't in the mood to deal with them right now so I put a sheet over every mirror in my apartment.
I got dressed in my white t-shirt, black trench coat, slacks, my combat boots, and my upside down cross necklace with a silver chain. I grabbed my keys to my motor cycle, as well as my black backpack and went outside the apartment. I needed my daily bottle or two of Irish whiskey. I jumped on my motor cycle and sped to the nearest liquor store, I went in grabbed two bottles and went to the counter, the guy working there looked at me funny and I probably knew why my half shaved half dyed hair and many tattoos and piercings would scare pretty much anyone. I paid for the whiskey and stuffed the bottles in my backpack.
There had been some stories online about an old school two towns over, a lot of supposed paranormal activity had been happening down there and I was going to head down there but first I needed M&M's I honestly don't know why but Irish whiskey and M&Ms are the best things in life. I popped into a nearby convenient store grabbed a giant bag of M&Ms and headed to the counter, while I was there I thought I might as well get my cigs, "hi could I also get a pack of those and that cigar over there" I pointed to the cigar and cigarettes, the teenager working behind the counter rung everything up and didn't even talk to me, he reminded me of those dead inside teenagers who did whatever they wanted.
I got back on my bike and started heading toward the outskirts of town, I looked in the mirror of my bike and saw the familiar smile "what?" I asked it didn't reply which surprised me, I had expected a lecture on why I shouldn't smoke, eat so much junk food, or drink but they were just silent.
Looking back on it now if I had stayed I would have had a somewhat normal life hunting down easy entities but, I can probably never go back now and I don't regret it...
Speeding down the highway blasting Green Day Kill the DJ, my small amount of hair that I hadn't shaved off flying around and occasionally getting in my face. I had been riding for a couple hours and I was only through the first town, I sighed and decided to take a break from riding. I quickly spot a rest stop off the highway. I parked my motorcycle and went into the rest stop for a smoke, when I lit the cigarette my friend Matt (aka the poltergeist that follows me, they won't tell my their name, don't hate I like the name Matt) looked at me from a mirror hanging on the wall disapprovingly I just glared back. My thoughts wonder to the school I was going to, I think about my schooldays and then I remember the reason I dropped out of high school. In the middle of my thoughts a man comes up to me and tells me I can't smoke inside the building I didn't want to argue so I went outside and sat on a bench. Something I call a foreshadowing hits me I see two different people, no three standing in front of me and they all turn around, I can't see their faces but i seem to fall to the floor and they all rush over to me, I think they are crying but there's no one in this world to cry for me. I snap back to reality and get back on my motorcycle, Matt looks at me through my mirrors well I say looks but he doesn't have eyes only a sarcastic grin. I sing as a joke it's like in my mirror, Matt just laughs. I take off down the highway again and Matt starts singing the magic school bus opening... all the way to the destination.
I see the school and it's almost night time so I thought to myself why not just sleep in the school. I look around for an entrance but the only one I find is locked, in the distance I hear what sounds like glass breaking and a yeet. After listening to the same song for an hour I wasn't putting up with the crap of a locked door, I thought of every bad memory and I was pissed I took a couple steps back. I took a deep breath, then ran full force at the door and kicked it, it sent the door flying in. I pulled out a pocket mirror to see what Matt thought and he said it was the most impressive one yet, the sad thing is was that I had created my own sport... of where you bust a door off its hinges and see how far it flies, my neighbors don't like me.
After running around for a while I was not prepared for what I saw.....
