(Author's note)
(If you enjoyed this, be sure to star, comment and read "The Water Works" and "Pure Nautical". As they both tie into eachother. Thanks!)Leaves piled up next to a stump. They began to move and shift with the wind, revealing Gladious lying down. He lifted his head up from the cold, wet dirt ground. A puddle of blood from his mouth pooled underneath him. He lifted his numb aching arm, got on his hands and knees to look forward.
Leaves stuck to his face and body. Pitch darkness clouded around him. He exhaled, seeing his breath. He tried to remember where he was or how he got there. Nothing came to mind. No memory of anything. All he knew was he wasn't from this world and he needed water.
He stood and brushed the leaves off, noticing the tree had been knocked over not too long ago. Well, there's trees. Most likely means life. He began to walk. Trees towered over him as he looked up and stared at the moon.
I've never seen such a thing. Must be some sort of rock floating outside this world I've landed on.
He stepped and landed in a deep puddle of water. Gasp, he lifted his arms up out of reflex. He breathed slowly and then sunk his head into the water. He opened his mouth and the water turned a black and blue color as it flooded down his throat and instantly turned into energy. The water emptied in a matter of seconds. He stood there in now a giant hole, completly dry. He climbed out and all of the sudden remembered.
Gurnaunt, that beast. He hit me, must of hit me so hard I passed through the multiverse pathway and landed on this planted. I'm surprised I didn't die. I must find Victorious and Darnetello.
He channeled the energy to his fingers to open a portal... Nothing. "What? That's impossible!" Just then he heard a russel. He glanced forward, a boy was laying on his back, half way out of the bushes. He cautiously walked over, the boys hair was very long, blonde, but tinted with mud. He touched his boot on the boys chest. "Are you alive?"
The boy opened his eyes and Gladious jumped back and put his fist up for a fight. The boy guarded his face, "Please don't hurt me!"
"I'm not here to hurt you." He rested his arms down. "I'm sorry I jumped, I never know who the bad people are anymore. What's your name?""Krahphyn," the boy replied.
"Well Krahphyn, I'm Gladious. What are you doing all the way out here? Don't you have a family?"
Krahphyn slowly stood up. "I ran away from a darkened clan, they captured me and a bunch of us." It became clear he was going to cry. "They killed my family along with the whole village. They are hoping one of us has powers."
"And what happens to people with powers?" Gladious became deeply interested.
"They send them off with Colonel Byris to find other halfgods. But, thats not it. They got word that one of the new recruits is the God of the Evil's son. The Nautical. The only one that can use the sword of Honor and power the star that opens a portal to the gods to earn his rightful place as ruler."
"Who are these gods?"
"You must be lucky, you don't know who they are. To keep it simple, the gods are the beings above us."
Gladious arched his head up to look at the stars. Maybe I could reach the star, I'm powerful enough to get myself off this planet. "Could you show me the star?"
"For what means?"
"Krahphyn, I'm not from here. I'm an interdimensional being." He said raising his hands up to the sky as all his fingers tips began to glow green. "I'm powerful enough to travel anywhere even beyond the physical. But, something is blocking me from leaving and I bet it has to do with these "Gods". Show me where the star is and possibly I can power it.
