"It was late we were having a party and I heard gunshots and I then blacked out after feeling a burning pain in my chest." That's what I said to the therapist sitting across from me.
That was all I remembered of that night.
At least I think that's all I remember.
I'm slowly piecing my life back together after my family died and everyone else I loved. I have a nightmare that repeats every time my eyes close. These are things I couldn't say to the therapist. The therapist responded with this question, "Were did you find yourself when you woke up?"
I answered with this, "I woke up in my bed with a scar on my chest. I had been out cold for 9 months at least."
My hair when I woke up was cut short. I was fed from a feeding tube and when I woke up I pulled it out of my arm. Someone was taking care of me. My questions are why are they taking care of me? And who is this mysterious individual?
After I left the therapist I decided not to go back. The rest of my conversation with the therapist is unnecessary to talk about those things I said can't be repeated.
I tried to stay calm but I exploded like dynamite exploded by a lever. Except this time the therapist was the lever.I left early before the hour session was over. The reason, I was kicked out and told, "Come back when you are calm and won't explode on people."
That was that and now I have to find whoever kept me alive. I can't believe I was in a coma for nine months. With an obvious healed bullet wound to my heart I have to be careful.
I was walking down the street to my favorite coffee shop and I felt someone following me. I turned around and saw a tall man, probably 6'7 with blond hair. He had black glasses on. He also had a white suit on and he was around my age. My age is 21. I quickly turned back around after I got details of what he looked like. We entered the coffee shop at the same time. That's when he pulled out a gun and pointed it at the cashier. Instead of asking for money he asked me, "Colton Green is saving her worth your own life?"
I said, "yes it is."
Before he shot her I grabbed his arm and put the gun against my head. I pulled the guns trigger, but I didn't die. The bullet didn't even penetrate my skin. In fact
it ricocheted off my forehead and went back in the gun exploding it. This injured the shooters hands making him useless. At least that's what I thought until he sent me flying with a kick to the stomach. After he did that I jumped on top of him and punched him until he was injured to the point were he couldn't be recognized. When he was arrested, I was awarded free coffee or anything else in that shop for life. I said thanks and got my coffee and then I went home. The one thing that bothers me is he said my full name like he knows who I am. Me, Colton Green is a superhero, but what would I call myself. I had to first find the corporation that saved my life.
As I was thinking about those things I found a note addressed to me. I slowly began to open it. When I opened it, it read:
Dear, Mister Green
Meet us at 6:00 tomorrow night
At Rassulo Restaurant.
See you then
Sincerely, AnonymousThe only thing on my mind is should I go or not. If I do I'm coming a armored Superhero. I decided against wearing armor I put on a black tuxedo and holstered up two pistols with non-lethal and lethal ammunition. I am ready to kill and defeat whoever keeps messing up my life. This power is gonna be used however it can. If I have to kill I will. They will be scared.
I walked in the restaurant and saw a man sitting at a table. He had darkness blanketing his face and a Cuban cigar in his mouth. When I walked up to him and said, "You must be 'Anonymous'."
With a smirk he replied,"yes I am 'anonymous'. I am guessing you want information about why I saved your life. Is that correct?
"Yes"
"Kill people for me and I'll give you the information. You will be assigned the code name: Backfire."
