Hi. My name is Georgie Forbes. I'm 18 and a dancer. I guess you could say I dance for a living but at the same time you could just class it as a hobby. For me personally, it's my job. And I love it!
The stereotypical dancer is usually, toned, thin and elegant. But I am hardly any of those things. I am not thin. I'm not a size 6 or anything like that and I have curves. People say to me that my curves are to die for but I think differently.
I've danced for quite a lot of people for my age. Beyoncé, Katy Perry and Little Mix are just some of the few. I sometimes even appear on the Xfactor as one of the backing dancers. I am also lucky enough to be a member of one of London's finest dance studios which gains me quite a lot of publicity for people wanting dancers.
I got to admit, my life is pretty cool.
Today I am on my way to the studio, like I do mainly everyday, too continue practising for more upcoming dance events. The taxi journey today is going by fairly quickly and as I look out of the window I notice we are pulling up outside my destination.
"Thank you," I say politely to the taxi driver, "How much do I owe you?"
"Just £5 will do fine," The taxi man replies as he starts winding down the window and lighting a cigarette. I start digging through my bag trying to find my purse. When I find it, I open it to reveille only a £10 note.
"I only have a ten, is that alright?" I explain.
"That's fine." I give him the note and he gives me 5 pound in return and blows a puff of his cigarette smoke in my face. I nod in thanks and walk over to the studio doors.
Inside the studio I notice that there is a little more people than there usually is. I find one of my greatest friends, Shelly and go over to her.
"Hey girl!"
"Hey! What's going on? Why is there so many people here?" I couriously Shelly.
"Dean has got some big news for us apparently, it better be good! I could of been using this time to practise for my show!" I laugh at Shelly's feisty attitude towards this 'big news'.
Dean is our like manager almost. He's sort of the top choreographer and he is in charge of creating most of dance routines. He is as straight as a round-about and that makes him that tiny bit better. He is the person you would go to if you had any life problems. He is like the brother I never had.
"If I could have your attention please! I have some news for you all! One Direction are shooting a new music video this week and they needed some backing dancers. I put in a good word about you all and I am thrilled to announce that you all have been chosen to star in the video!" Dean announces and claps his hands together in joy.
Little screams are heard amoungst the group of girls in the studio including me. I have always wanted to meet One Direction. They seem so cool and down to earth. I can't contain my excitement right now. I have the feeling I had when I got chosen to dance for Beyoncé.
I was so looking forward to the rest of this week!
