Song - Sea Fog

As this bitter little road stretches out to sea

The downy fog rolls over me

Embraces and protects me from the daggers that assail me

It makes the fall to grace less painful it seems

As I hear the whispering winds rattle through the Portland Stone

The fireplace calls from home

But that is not my home as the liquid rents and breaks me

It makes her safety seem all but guaranteed

As the sweet new silence breaks into the sound

I can hear the cry go all around

But the cry is growing dim as the stone proceeds to shame me

It makes the life look so much redder against the sea

I hold a hand against my heart

And stare out into the dark

I know hands are much more sharper than steel

And words break and hate and steel

You have nothing to fear my love

Nothing to fear it seems

As the Sea Fog envelopes me
