Hey there! So I'm posting a new chapter now... I hope you like it.
Chapter One: Jason Stuart Mill:
Rachel came to class half an hour late as usual, her short, black dyed hair jumping over her shoulders as she got rushing into the classroom. She showed her best regretful smile, luckily for her, her bright blue eyes added a touch of innocence to her round freckled face. The perfect picture of the good girl that she was...not.
- Excuse me, Mr. Dallan! I could not find the keys and -The master made a gesture with his hand signalling her to shut up- Go to your seat, and in silence. -Rachel obeyed without protest and went to sit next to Devian who smiled at her with complicity, holding her hand tenderly.
- You over-slept, right?- Devian asked with conviction. The girl just smiled and pulled out her notebook to start writting down what was being said. Devian understood it perfectly. The deduction was correct, she had over-slept.The following hours before recess went slow and tedious and, in the end, the couple decided that playing tick-tak-toe was far more interesting than whatever John Locke had said while he was 'high'.
Every day was like this, getting up, going to school, dying of boredom and meeting with their group of friends after school, and just as every other day John, Lis, Andrew, Nina, Rose and Adams were waiting for them at the entrance. Jason, the ninth member of the group used to meet with them in the park as he did not want to give explanations to the teachers about why he had skipped all classes during that month
John was a boy of athletic complexion and interests who came from Brazil. His olive eyes contrasted with his cinnamon skin causing a furor among the other students of the center. He wore both sides of the head shaved with a pattern on each side similar to waves and the hair, which covered only the center of his head on a thick stripe, was copper-brown and long enough as to wear it tied up in a high short pony-tail. Despite his popularity among women, however, he only had eyes for his girl, Elisabeth.
Little Lis was the opposite of John in almost every thing besides his kindness and sweetness. She was a true library-rat and enjoyed the rain during afternoons and the bitter coffee with a touch of milk. She had blue eyes like the spring sky, a smile as sweet as caramel and a rounded face, almost childish, framed by some blonde perfect curls like the sun at midday. She was the "angel" of the group and also the youngest member. She had always had trouble when it came to making friends, unlike her sister Nina, that had introduced her to the rest of the group who immediately welcomed her as one of them.
Nina was physically identical to her younger sister except by the fact that she always wore her hair straight, ironed or collected in a ponytail or braid and his face was much more defined despite not being more than two years older than her. Their personality however were almost completely the opposite. Nina was an extroverted sportswoman who enjoyed going out to take pictures under the sun. In fact, she always carried a camera around with her just in case there was a good scene to freeze for eternity.
Andrew was a rather shy boy but he, along with Adams and Jason, had been friends since cradle age, and they always went in pack. They made and got out of uncountable messes always together. Around the entire high-school they were known by the nickname of the whirlwind trio, for quite obvious reasons... wherever they went they caused some catastrophe, always started by Jason of course. Andrew had short curly hair, "bathed by fire" as they used to say and appel green eyes that used to smile at all times. It was rather simple to read his facial expressions, he was like an open book. Simple and easy to amuse, he enjoyed bad puns, videogames and being around his friends.
Adams from the beginning had had a touch of detachment with the group, when they started to hang out together he used to not go with the group or, if he did, he only got close to Andrew and Jason. After two years with them though, he became used to be with them even without Andrew and Jason around. When Lis arrived it was really easy to have a good relationship since the two shared their passion for literature, something that mattered little to the other members of the group. His honey-colored eyes, framed by black-rimmed glasses, and his hair, black as the night, would have made him win the heart of any woman... if only his personality had matched his looks...
