Reader x Dave
"Come on (y/n)! We're going to be late!" Dave yelled up the stairs for the fifth time in the past ten minutes. You roll your (e/c) and run the brush through your lush (h/c) checking your reflection in the mirror. Taking a deep breath you race for the door stumbling a bit over your heels. Dave was waiting at the bottom of the steps his dark red converse tapping impatiently on the hard wood floor he was glaring at the clock on his phone.
"Happy?" You ask getting his attention his eyes snapped up to look at you he hadn't put on his shades so you could see his piecing red orbes, his mouth was open slightly as if he was going to comment but he stopped when he saw you leaning casually against the railing at the top of the steps. You smile triumphantly as you began your slow and careful decent down the steps. Heels really aren't your thing and to be honest neither were party's but for some reason Dave insisted that you go to this party for reasons unknown to you.
"You look...so beautiful." Dave whispered as you reached the bottom step he smiled a bright pearly white smile the one that always makes your heart jump out of your chest. You smile and look at your feet a heavy blush covering your pale face. God you hate when he does that and he knows it. You look up at your boyfriend with a playful glare, his sexy smirk grew wider and he winked at you causing you to roll your (e/c) eyes and nudge him playfully.
"Can we just go! I'd like to know the reason you made me dress up." You stated gesturing to your short (f/c) cocktail dress. Dave chuckled and rolled his blood red eyes, he grabbed your hand and pulled you toward the door you stop just as his hand was about to touch the handle. "Dave? What about your shades?" You ask giving Dave a confused look.
"I decided not to wear them." He replied with a sheepish smile, you raised one of your thin eyebrows at him.
"But Dave-" you begin but are quickly cut off by Dave's deep throaty chuckle.
"(Y/n) don't worry where were going no ones gonna care." This statement made you even more anxious to find out where this party is going to be and whom was attending. You nod at your boyfriend reluctantly and walk out the door which held open for you kindly. You both walked to his car and climbed in.
The drive was silent for the most part you would causally ask Dave about the party in which he would just smile and shake his head. You could've sworn that when he did this his bright eyes showed a hint of nervousness and his freckled cheeks held a thin layer of red under his tan Texas skin. This made you squirm in your seat a bit for Dave never really got nervous let alone showed signs of how anxious he was. Finally after almost 40 minutes of driving Dave pulled the car into a familiar driveway.
"Rose and Kanaya's this is where the party's at?" You ask turning your head to give Dave a questionable look. He just smiled and stepped out of the car immediately making his way to your side and opening to car door for you. Hand-n-hand you make your way to the front entrance to Dave's sisters and girlfriends home. You both entered and the sound of music and talking hit your ears.
"Yo sis!" Dave yelled pulling you up the steps that lead into the living room. "We're here!"
"I gathered that when you yelled." Rose said suddenly appearing at the top of the steps. You smile and give your long time friend a hug. "So shall we get the party started now that our guests of honor are here?" She said giving Dave a quick wink and waltzing off. You turn your gaze to Dave once again this time he doesn't look at you but his red irises are shooting daggers into his sisters back, you lift an eyebrow still eyeing Dave.
"Guests of honer?" You repeat giving him a questionable smirk when he finally turns his red gaze to you. His cheek light up to match them, you feel your heart skip when the corner of his lips turned up to reveal that sexy half smile.
"She was joking of course." He replied cooly, taking your hand in his and leading you both to the living room where all your friends were sitting and talking excitedly. You looked around an took note of who was where, Dave walked the two of you to the small love seat in the corner it was one of many.
You sit on Dave's lap and lay your head in his shoulder, he wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you close. "Dave. Your not wearing your glasses. I can smell your candy red eyes more than usual." Terezi said from across the room, you felt Dave chuckle under you.
"Your good Terezi." He replied this made some of the others around chuckled. It was a pretty peaceful party everyone talking and laughing you loved these type of get togethers. It didn't strike you until now that everyone else was dressed up too, this confused you because you've never had to dress up for ones of these get togethers.

You were helping Rose bring out the bowls of snacks that you'd had helped her prepare moments earlier. "Rose?" You ask turning to the blonde beside you. "What's going on? Everyone's acting strange." Rose stopped walking and smiled at you.
"(Y/N) I've been sworn to secrecy." She said with a wink and strolled away from you swiftly leaving you baffled. You followed her into the room and stopped suddenly in your tracks. The first thing you noticed was that everyone was sitting quietly watching you, they all seemed to be smiling joyfully even Vriska whom you only see smile when she's doing something evil the second thing you noticed was that Dave was standing in the middle with a nervous smile and his hands dug deep in his pockets.
"(Y/N)" he said with a shaking voice, "Come here." He said softly taking a hand out of his pocket and holding out to you, you set the bowl of chips down and slowly walk over to your boyfriend not knowing what was going on. You grab his shaking hand and he pulls you forward closer to him, you glance around skeptically eyeing all your friends with curiosity.
"Dave what's going on?" You ask finally turning to face him. His red eyes stared deep in to your (E/C) with an adoring passion burning like a fire in them.
"(Y/N)" He says nervously. "We've been dating for sometime now and I've been thinking about this for months, every time I look at you I picture the perfect life because I know if I'm with you my life will be perfect." You head was spinning by this point and you were sent into total shock. Dave slowly bent down to one knee causing you to gasp and cover your mouth with your free hand, tears began to fill your eyes and blur your vision. You blinked your (E/C) eyes and allowed the salty tears to roll slowly down your cheeks.
"Dave..." You whimper as he reaches in his pocket and pulls out a small black box and pulls it open exposing a small diamond ring with a silver band.
"What I'm saying is (Y/N) will you do the me the honor and becoming my wife?" He asked his red eyes looking up at you hopefully. You nod unable to speak, you watch as he takes a shaking hand and slides the ring on your finger. He quickly stands up and pulls you into a hug spinning you around. You plant a passionate kiss on his lips as he sat you down on your feet.
The rest of the night was spent celebrating your new engagement and making plans for your up coming wedding with the man of your dreams, everything at this moment seemed to be perfect.
/years later\
You were standing on your wooden deck with a smile on your face as you watched your husband play with your two young children. You think back to the day Dave asked you to become his wife and smile a tear rolling down your pink cheek. You rest your hand on the growing baby bump and smile. 'This is perfect.'
