Muddy Media
"Are you okay?" Sophie asks me as she pulls me up out of the mud. She seemed more relaxed with me now after training. We were all covered in mud and sweat was pouring down our brows, our arm and our backs. Alex had changed his mind. We didn't train in the FR field. Alex gave all of us a hard fitness routine, with a grueling course in the football field next to the gym, outside. "If I have to go through that again... " Sophie continues. I'm still catching my breath from the work out and can't reply, so Alex does.
"If we can't work with magic, we may as well improve on our physical strength," Alex adds, enthusiastically, but even after all the exercise, he still sounds grumpy underneath the forced positive tone. He also has mud in his glorious black hair and he tries to shake it out.
"Well, then I can't wait until Wednesday comes and we get back in the FR field," Sophie replies with a sigh.
"There's nothing wrong with brushing up on our physical performance, my own agility improved from playing football so I thought it was a good idea to come out here, change of scenery too," Alex says proudly and I roll my eyes.
"Agility? You think you have agility?" I brush the mud off my forearms, "Says the guy who slipped three times in the mud."
"You pushed me twice Jasmine," he reminds me and then grins, "And that's why I pushed you in the mud in return."
"After a long and hard run after me, I think I have the agility, mud man, it took you forever to catch me."
"I got you in the end," Alex replies with a smirk.
"Yep, you pushed me in the mud and now I have mud in my bra. Thank you," Alex looks taken aback by my honesty. I grin and hold the ends of my T-shirt and pull the heavily soaked material over my head. The shirt was starting to irritate my skin anyway. I throw the T-shirt onto the ground.
"I'm all for getting changed out here," John adds, following suit and taking off his shirt too. Alex glares at him after managing to take his eyes off me.
"Join the club," I wiggle my eyebrows at John enthusiastically, ignoring Alex's potentially jealous reaction. I brush some of the mud off my neck and quickly take out some of the sloppy mud getting caught at the top of my bra. Sophie is rolling her eyes at me.
"What?" I ask Sophie, "I have freaking in my bra, Sofa, its bloody annoying. Plus," I say more loudly, "The owners of the gym won't be too happy if we trail mud into their change rooms! We may as well get cleaned up out here!"
"I guess that's true," Sophie shrugs her shoulders then asks, "Why does your weird logic make so much sense sometimes?" she thinks for a moment, laughs and then takes off her top too in a moment of spontaneity.
"What can I say? I'm just a logical thinker."
"WATCH THIS!" We all turn towards Mitchel's call and we see him and Blake at the opposite end of the football field, with big smiles on their identical faces. They start to run.
"Oh no..." Sophie whispers, and there's no time to think, the twins are now running at full super human speed, and just 50 odd feet before us they drop to their knees in the mud and come skidding at super speed towards us. I've jumped to the side out of firing range.
"Sofa! What the hell? Move!" I call, but it's too late.
Mitchell crashes into her and she shrieks as his hands grab her waist and then he lifts her into the air, so he is holding her above his head.
"Was that fun, Sofa?" Mitchel asks as they skid to a stop through the slush of mud and grass.
"Ah," she seems flustered, still held above him, "It was surprising!"
