The characters obviously belong to the amazing J.K Rowling and I am only writing this for my own enjoyment.

“Why do I have to share with you?” Draco asked with a sneer. He might have changed sides during the battle but that doesn’t make him any less annoying thought harry. “I don’t want to share with you either. But there aren’t any people left in our year. Everyone had the option to redo their previous year seeing as there had been the final battle. But because the new pupils still needed to come in they built temporary two room dorms. Most people chose their friends but Ron was going with Hermione He would have gone with Ginny but she kept on saying that even though she wanted to be his friend she needed a break. Too many memories of the war, of the death of… well anyway they weren’t together anymore. The room was small, much smaller than his old dorm room.   There was room for two four-poster beds, on red one green, two desks and two wardrobes. Draco was sitting on his four-poster bed tying his green tie and pulling on a jumper before taking out his wand and using it to make his bed and then to tidy up his messy hair. He then reached to the corner and grabbed his broom. “You could just apparate you don’t have to take the broom” Harry asked before standing up himself.

“Yeah, but I like taking the broom. Anyway, how’s it your business.” Draco answered before moving towards the door. All seventh years who wanted to redo the year were put in a small temporary complex of rooms near to Hogwarts. There was no dining room, actually there were only a clump of rooms so everyone had to go to Hogwarts for meals as well as classes.

“I was just asking. If we have to live together for a year we should at least be civil.” Harry answered before reaching for his broom “anyway, I’m coming with you, I haven’t been flying for ages and maybe it will help me wake up” He grabbed his broom as well before walking with Malfoy towards the door.

The ride really did wake him up as well as finally feeling free. Ever since the final battle he had felt caged, not only by memories but also by the fact that people expected even more of him now than before. He was supposed to be someone he wasn’t, almost as if he wasn’t a person any more and more of an image he had to keep up. They reached Hogwarts quickly and as they swooped towards it Harry was amazed at how it looked like nothing had happened. It looked like the same old Hogwarts where he had first caught the snitch when he was eleven, where he got his invisibility cloak, where he had gone on so many adventures and where he found his best friends. It still brought back wave after wave of bad memories, of losing so many other people, Sirius and Lupin, Tonks, Snape Dumbledore, Mad-eye moody, Fred and so many others. He landed on the quidditch pitch and hurried to the hall after leaving his broom in a store cupboard. The benches where even more crowded than usual and he could barely squeeze in between Neville and Ron. He started to chat to Ron and Hermione about everything, mostly him complaining about having to share a room with Draco.

Draco stared at Harry across the hall. This was going to be much harder than he had anticipated, he had started to have feeling for Harry during sixth year but he had managed to keep them suppressed and concentrate on his mission. Now he had to share a room with the boy for a year and still pretend he hated him. He had kept the front up for years, he couldn’t bear for his family to find out that not only did he have feelings for a guy he had feelings for the chosen one. After his father had been sent to Askaban Draco knew he probably didn't have to keep hs feelings a secret. But he still kept them hidden because he knew that Harry would never like an old death-eater that way.
