jades pov
I have a love-hate relationship with high school. Like, honestly, if you expected me to adore high school, since you know, i'm everyone's favorite here, you'd be wrong. I could spend better time with my boyfriend, or at least, my friends.
Yeah, it was the first day of senior year. Same routine as last year; wake up, eat breakfast, give mom a kiss and daddy a hug, wait for Jesy to pick me up, which she's always 3 minutes late, and head to South Shields high. Don't get me wrong, I love owning the halls of SS high, but every girl needs her sleep.
I slung my backpack over my shoulder, heading towards the school with a bored look on my face. I was glad for the nice fall weather though, even if that means winters coming up.
"Jade, wait up!" Jesy ran to my side, fumbling with her own backpack. She looked hilarious as she climbed up the steps, tripping over herself.
"Woah Jesy," I steadied her when she toppled in to me, "I didn't know your backpack was stronger then you." I added cockily, which got me a snort and a glare.
"Shut up." Jesy cast a glare in my direction, adjusting her backpack as she straightened up and moved to look over toward the school. "It looks like Beavis and Butthead showed up." She observed, using the overly affectionate terms for 'Harry and Louis'. "I assume you want to join them?" I asked, feigning a bored appearance as Jesy nodded, "Yeah, c'mon."
She ran ahead to greet the two boys and I followed less enthusiastically, flicking a strand of brown hair over my shoulder as I did.
I caught up with them just as they were walking in, "Hey boys!" Jesy greeted with a beaming smile. I'm pretty sure she has a thing for Harry, but I could be wrong with this one.
Harry grinned at me and winked flirtatiously. Ha, looks like Jesy's going to spending another year trying to win his heart. I have it over here, Jes. I glanced over at Jesy, who looked back at me with an annoyed look. She turned and stalked forward, both boys ignoring her as she did.
"Hey Jade." Louis smiled at me before we all suddenly stopped, hearing Jesy scream.
"HOW DARE YOU?! THIS SHIRT IS NEW!"
We ran around the corner to see a dark skinned girl on the ground, scrambling to pick up a coffee cup as Jesy raged, her face flushing bright red as she screeched like a cat dropped in water.
"YOU LITTLE BITCH! YOU WILL PAY FOR THE DRY CLEANING." Jesy snarled at her, flapping out her shirt as she did. Louis let out a small snort, a small smile appearing on his lips as he studied the scene in front of them.
"I'm so sorry mis-" The dark brunette stuttered, backing up and glancing behind her. Obviously she couldn't escape from Jesy's anger, mostly because people had formed a tight circle around us and the girl didn't have any friends with her. If she did have friends that is.
I sprang forward, wanting to both back up Jesy and make sure that people knew that i'm still here. "She probably meant to mess your shirt up." I sneered at the girl, casting her a sharp glare. Her brown eyes widened and she shook her head rapidly, "No, I didn't! I swear." Jesy simply smirked at her answer, "You know what we do to girls who try to mess us up."
"You'll do nothing." We turned our heads to look at a blonde girl, who roughly shoved through the crowd to get to her friend. My eyes widened and for a moment, the world seemed to freeze.
I could never tell you what an angel looked like. I never had an experience that caused me to see one. Yet, let me tell you; this girl is probably the closest thing to an angel. Her honey blonde hair fell to her shoulders and she had bright icy blue eyes that were absolutely mesmerizing. She was only slightly smaller then me, maybe by an inch, which gave me the upper hand.
Jesy narrowed her eyes, "Who are you?" The girl looked appalled that some chick decided to break in and confront her and I don't blame her. I would feel the same.
"I could ask you the same question." She retorted, her blue eyes darting down to the cuff of her leather jacket as she adjusted it, looking bored by this whole confrontation.
Harry burst in to laughter, Jesy looking back at him and glaring at the boy. I looked back at him and Louis, meeting Louis gaze. He had a small smile perched on his lips and he winked at me playfully.
"Y-You don't know who I am?" Jesy questioned, turning her attention back to the brilliant girl in front of us. Her tone was dark and low, as if she was trying to scare the girl.
"Nope! And i'm glad I don't know you. Who do you think you are, pushing around a girl who simply ran in to you?" She snarled, a vicious fire appearing in her blue eyes. Jesy looked taken aback by her tone, so naturally, I stepped in.
"Who do you think you are, waltzing in here and insulting us?" I took a step forward, glaring down at her and trying to look threatening. The blonde simply shrugged, "I'm only defending my friend, who was wrongfully being bullied by some bitches who think they're all that. Gimme a break."
Jesy gasped, "You little twat-" She started, only to be cut off by the other girl.
"Twat yourself. You're the one bullying girls that never actually hurt you." She snarled, "Oh no, you ruined your shirt. Whatever shall you do." Her voice came out in a biting sneer, turning away from us and towards her friend and some other boys who broke through the crowd to help the dark haired girl up. "Cry me a river."
She headed towards the edge of the crowd as the other three left glancing back to smirk at us. "Oh, and my name's Perrie by the way. Just in case you wanted to know." Perrie then turned and stalked after her friends, her hands slipping in to her pockets.
Jesy was pale with fury, but she let out a dry laugh. "Oh, i'm Perrie. I'm cooler then all of you." She muttered, turning back to shove through the crowds and head to her locker.
I glanced back at Louis, "It looks like we'll have our hands full this year." He commented, which made me laugh.
"Or just me." I smirked, making a mental note to make sure I saw her again.
