After getting dressed which was a pair of new true religion jeans, a tank top, converse, my hair in a bun and a little mascara. I stalked down the marble stair case still grumpy; I still hadn't gotten my phone back and hadn't had any sleep. That stupid boy, I was going to ring his neck I don't care who he is no one takes my phone and gets away with it. Being sleep deprived I had to get coffee in myself quickly. I was so glad my best friend Marissa got back today. It felt like forever since I had seen and I couldn't wait to go pick her up.
Marissa is my best friend but we act more like sisters. We met in year 9 and we have been best friends ever since. She and her parents went on some family holiday to the Caribbean for the summer and her parents wanted to stay longer although Marissa had to come back for school. That's why I'm picking her up this early morning. Not that I'm complaining or anything, I just have to get up really early on a Saturday; I've been happier. She's got moss green eyes and honey blond hair but she's much taller than me standing around 5'10"; which is not fair. We're the same age.

I smelled the burning cupcakes before I saw them as aunt Jenna was in the kitchen trying to bake. Not a good idea. I'm not sure she had baked anything in her life. I could see the smoke wafting in the kitchen. Then the fire alarm started ringing which caused me to groan, as I was already grumpy from lack of sleep. "What are doing?" I ask her probably a little too harsh, but I was just too tired. I think she chose to ignore it.
"Baking for the neighbours. We are going to welcome them to the neighbourhood!" she chirped back, a huge grin on her face. Why was she so happy? I really wasn't in the mood for this no doubt I would have to see Chase and I really didn't want to do that. I decided last night that I didn't like him. She had on a pair of skinny jeans, six inch heels and a purple peplum top, which was covered by an apron. The apron had lots of flowers and was covered in lots of cake batter and frosting.
"NO!" I yelled, I couldn't be bothered to kill anyone today and if I saw him I'm sure I would. He's such an idiot, I mean he had no right to steel my phone. What did I ever do to him? I mean other than what happened last night. I have avoided those boys all together now look what's happened, his friends are those douches and they'll probably be round his all the time. Plus this isn't a normal neighbourhood, this is for the rich and elite and we don't just pop round to welcome new neighbours.
"Don't be selfish Avril or I'll take you car away." she was serious now and I loved my car more than anything so I was quiet after that. Thank goodness she didn't threaten my platinum card. This day couldn't get any worse. I can't wait to see Marissa hopefully she'd have some amazing news that would make me forget about today.
I'd have to see him again, but maybe I would get my phone back. I needed it. Moreover I felt empty without it. Gosh I sound like a freak.

Once we discarded the burnt cupcakes, I baked some quick cookies and we went round next door. I stepped onto their porch and rang the doorbell. Aunt Jenna told me she had forgot something in the house and so she ran back to get it. At that moment the door swung open and they're standing shirtless - might I add - my neighbour Chase. He smirked, his eyes raking over my body shamelessly, as I guess he noticed my ogling. Covering my blush I regained my composure and was about tell him why I was there until Jenna ran up greeting him " hey, you must be our new neighbours!" she smiled. She looked at me and sent me the he's-a-greek-god look gawking over the boy. I narrowed my eyes and he just smirked.
