Ginny and Hermione were sitting inn the common room, feeling a bit confused as to where the boys were.

'You don't suppose something has happened to them, do you Hermione..' Ginny said, staring at Hermione with her big brown eyes.

'Don't worry, Gin. I'm sure they just got roped in to something by one of the teachers.' Hermione said.

'Do you think we should go looking for them?' Ginny said, still not reassured.

'No, Gin. I'm sure they don't need our help with what ever they're doing. Besides, it's been ages since we have had a chat, just the two of us...'

'Ok. I'm sure I could live with that...' Ginny said, turning to Hermione.

In McGonagall's office, Harry was explaining why he needed to be out of school for the day.

'You see, professor, I have this really romantic proposal planned out, but I need to go to Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley to get the supplies, and I would like Ron to come with me to help.' Harry explained.

'Well, I don't have a problem with that. Yes, you and Mr Weasley can go.'

'Thank you, Professor.' Harry said, moving to the door.

'Oh, and Potter?'

'Yes, Professor?'

'Be back by 5.' the old lady said, with a smile.

Harry nodded, and he and Ron made his way to Hogsmeade so they could apparate to Diagon Alley.

The young men made it to Hogsmeade, then to Diagon Alley, and were now stood in the middle of Diagon Alley, trying to figure out where to go first: Harry needed a basket, blankets, candles, fairy lights, rose petals, a ring and food.

'Harry, are you sure we shouldn't just get everything from Every wizarding need ?' Ron asked.

'No, because I want to get the real thing for Ginny and there, they just sell knock offs. Besides, I have to get the candles from Smells, Smiles and Scents , the blanket and fairy lights from that new decorations shop, the ring from my vault at Gringotts, roses from the florists, and the basket from the home-ware shop.' Harry explained.

'What about the food?' Ron wailed. 'You can't have a picnic without food.'

'Don't worry. The house-elves will give us the food, but I am getting the drinks from the Three Broomsticks.' Harry explained.

'Well, I'm really touched that you appreciate my sister that much, but you do realise how much time this is going to take us?' Ron said.

'Yes, but I'm willing to go to those lengths for your sister.' Harry said. 'Now let's get going. We don't have forever..'

They boys sighed at the thought of spending so much time shopping, but headed off to the first shop: Smell, Smiles and Scents.

The minute they stepped foot into the shop, Harry made a bee-line for the back of the shop, where the display of Ginny's favourite candle was. When he reached the display, there were only 5 Sun&Moon candles left. He scooped them up into his arms, ran to the front counter, and, accidentally barged through a group of Hogwarts students all making their way towards to the display at which Harry had just been.

'Sorry, fellas. If you were looking for the Sun & Moon candles, these are the last ones.' Harry said, cheekily shoving some money on the counter and racing out of the shop.

'We should probably leave here: there are some very angry boys that will probably be coming for me soon. To the decorations shop!' Harry said, looking over his shoulder and sprinting away. Puzzled, Ron turned around to see what had spooked his friend and saw 3 angry Slytherins grabbing people and asking: 'Have you seen Harry Potter?'.
