Falling For My Rival

Chapter 1: Greetings

Aria's P.O.V

The brown boxes I was holding in my hands fell down to the wood floor with a crash. College. The smell of thirsty guys and drunk girls. Lovely. I looked around my medium sized dorm room and smiled.

No roommate. Too bad Ray got paired in another dorm room.

,"ARIA!"

I heard my name being blasted through a familiar mouth. I giggled lightly to myself recognizing my best friend's voice.

,"Ray!"

I shouted back slightly amused at her actions. She ran through the door and tackled me onto the bed. Her curly hair flying down onto my face as she straddled my body with her rather small arms.

,"I missed you so much."

She said a little bit sadly. I rolled my eyes.

,"I saw you like yesterday."

I said while she rolled over beside me, laying on her back.

,"But now it's different."

She said while moving her lips in different directions goofily. I laughed under my breathe. Rayna was a crazy girl. Sometimes I think she plays around a little too much.

,"WE'RE IN COLLEGE ARIA!"

She shouted. She shot up from the bed and strutted a little farther from the bed. I raised an eyebrow. She then flicked her head over her shoulder and smirked.

,"And we're hot now."

She said mischievously. I snickered a bit.

,"Plus, nobody here will know about what those dickheads did to us. All of that is over. We left that back in our hometown."

She said sighing a sigh of relief. I clasped my lips between my teeth remembering the video they played of us. Oh, and the stickers. All the stickers...

,"I don't want to talk about that."

I said fustrated. Rayna walked over to me and pulled me up. I was then pulled out of my dorm room and shuffled down the hall. Rayna pulled me outside. As soon as the light beamed on her, she took in a huge breath and spread out her arms like mother nature.

,"You see? Fresh."

She said with a smile.

,"No more bullshit."

She smirked. Then that's when I heard a blood curdling voice.

,"Aria? Rayna?"

I widened my eyes and slowly turned around. Rayna was too frozen to.moce but I wasn't. I wanted to make sure that the voice didn't belong to the jerk I thought it did. As soon as.my eyes laid on his face in felt my inside turn solid and anger bread through my body.

,"Bret! What are you doing here!?"

I shouted angrily. Rayna turned around and her eyes popped open when she saw the jerk.

,"I'm attending this college."

He said with a smile. I felt butterflies sworm through my stomach when he flashed me that smile. I pushed all the dirty thoughts to the back of my head.

,"You can't be serious!"

I barked out. Rayna grabbed my arm and pulled me farther back from Bret. His hair looked soft and easy to run my fingers through, his eyes were so lively, oh and lips. Pink and plump. My cheeks were growing hot. I quickly thought of all the horrible things him and Xavier did to Rayna and I.

,"I'm dead serious."

Rayna tugged at my arm.

,"It could be worse. At least Xavier isn't here."

I sighed and groaned in pure and utter anger. I nodded then turned around.

,"See you around, beautiful!"

I flicked him off as Rayna and I walked back inside.

,"Hey, it can be so much worse. I mean imagine if he was your roommate."

Rayna laughed and I giggled dreading the thought of that. I knew deep down that war would begin again. I flipped my light brown hair to the side. A peircing scream rang through my ears. I looked up and saw Rayna screaming.

,"What the hell Ray?!"

She stared forward with horror filling her eyes. I looked up and saw Rayna's worst enemy. My worst enemies best friend. He was walking out of Ray's dorm room. Oh my god.

,"Ray?"

Xavier spoke deeply. Rayna clawed into my arm. 

,"Xavier?"

She said lowly. I remember Ray always had this huge crush Xavier. I could tell Xavier liked her too but once they did that prank... She lost it. She was so hurt. But college boosted her up. Now he's here and I could see the hurt in her eyes. At one time she loved Xavier. And I loved Bret. Although we were never together I still felt so much for him. I mean, we used to be best tfriends. It's hard to lose feelings for someone you once cared so much for.

,"What're you doing in my damn dorm!"

She shreeked out gaining back her strength.

,"Your dorm room!?"

He said raspily in shock.

,"YES!"

,"THATS MY DORM ROOM."

He yelled back. I widened my eyes and Ray tensed up.

"We're roommates!"

She yelled out and ran back to her dorm room, Xavier ran after her. This is going to be some four years...
