"You know I would be in the Funny Farm if anyone knew about this, right?"
"Of course. And I would be a science experiment, and then probably stuck in a glass case at a museum."
"Ew."
She laughed, but inhaled sharply as the brush got stuck in one of the tangles in her hair.
"I'm sorry!" I squealed, "This brush is just so small!"
She laughed and turned around as she ran her fingers through her hair. "Good enough. What dress did you pick out?"
I pinch a little navy blue velvet dress and hand it over. She takes it with both hands and gets up, her legs and arms moving like she just worked out or something. I chuckled, but remembered how sore I had been this morning after working out the previous day.
"Cover your eyes!" called out to me as she ran as best as she could to the curtains. After she closed them I chuckled and closed the whole wall, then rolled over onto my stomach and put my head in my hands so I couldn't see her.
"Seriously Charlene," she continued as I heard her wrestling around with the dress, "I don't know what I would do without you. I would be so lonely here, and I wouldn't be able to be myself, and most importantly of all, you got me a boyfriend!"
I smiled as I pushed in her chairs and made sure the picture frames were lined up correctly. "And you, my dearest friend, are the one who keeps me motivated, helps me with my english, and gives the best fashion sense."
"Well, I do have a lot of time on my hands to read pretty much every book in my library." I heard so rushing as she attempted to push the wall back out. I sat up and pulled it out so that I could see her. I gasped as I took it all in,
"You look stunning!"
She blushed and twirled slowly, the skirt swishing on the thin floorboards. Her hair was up in a bun and she had diamond earrings and a necklace. "Do you think he will like it? Maybe I should wear flats, I'm already pretty tall."
"Hun," I sighed as I picked up a cute pair of white heels from the pile of shoes I had knocked over, "You look wonderful, and even if you didn't, he would still love you."
A little buzz interrupted the moment. I smiled at her, nodded, and then opened the tiny door in one swift moment. As sad as I was to see my best friend leaving for the afternoon, I was mostly excited for her. Her giddy dance let me know that she would always be there for me, she just had to see others too and build more expectable relationships.
"You look absolutely gorgeous," The young man said as he stared at my friend, and only her. He took her hand and whisked her away, "Come on Barbie, let's go party!"
