Chapter 1: A New Beginning
A high school junior girl walks to school with her luggage in hand, clearly frustrated with her inconvenient situation. Forcing herself to carry such weight for a damn trip to Canada since she and her classmates have an acapella competition. The girl had plans this week, no one was home so it was perfect for her to throw a sick party. However, fate had other plans and forced her to commit to this academic activity. With a gun to her head, the threat of failing the class, she agrees to go. The only upside is that the trip is paid for by the Music Department. She continues to walk and walk, hoping to reach her destination soon.
Elsewhere, there was the construction of a new house; many men dug the earth to create the base of the home. As they dig, two workers had found an interesting item that resided in the ground below. A book with an eye that is bordered by a golden floral pattern on the book's brown, rugged leather. Its spine had an elegantly written name engraved into it with a silvery-gold pigment. The lettering showed a name, a name that will affect many lives, (L/N). One of the men held the book, staring at its intricate design until the book blinked and stated these words:
"I sense one of the (L/N) bloodline, it is time to fulfill our duties yet again." With that, the book vanished into thin air.
Back to the poor junior, who successfully made it to the school with all her items intact, walked towards the entrance of the school. Suddenly, there was a disturbance in her footsteps as she reached the front door entrance. She looks down and finds the book with an eye, she raises her brow upon viewing the strange book. The junior places her gaze forward, about to walk into the school, however, the book began to speak.
"Time to prove yourself, young (L/N). The wait is over and it is time to serve for the deities."
"What even are you?!" screeched the scared teen.
"There is no time to waste, we must leave now," the book stated firmly. As it did that, a portal appeared above them. The junior could not run due to the amount of weight on her body, and she was sucked into the portal, with the book following in hand.
